Oh was the AGM that quiet then ??
 
I went to work first thing Saturday morning briefly and then over to Ardingly for the collective sale

Today has been the Hethersgill Vintage Club annual ploughing match. The weather was ideal, with sunshine all day, though a cold frosty start, I was there in my usual capacity of, gateman, entrants and spectator vehicle parking and chief dogs body. I was featured in a national tractor magazine and it was titled The Wheelhorse Showman, so I kept "the showman as my user name

A cold March Sunday and 23 machines and their owners gathered at Isfield Station in East Sussex for the Spring Meet and Greet

This is a vintage agricultural weekend held at Pestalozzi village in Sedlescombe Sussex ( tn33 0uf ).
I've been going to this show since it started a few years ago and last year i was asked to take over the Horticultural section,it was very short notice and didn't have time to promote it.
This year I'm looking for exhibitors to support me with this show.
I've secured a good spot in the middle of the site and there will be a working area that is useable all day, there will be an arena display on both days so whatever you want to do with your machine nows your chance,
This is a working weekend so whatever your interest its there, there will be plenty of stalls and a silent auction as well as live music, beer tent and plenty of food.
There's free camping on a nice flat field just a short walk away.
So come and have a fun weekend if you want to work your machine or just chill out, this will be a good show with your support, pm me for an entry form NOW

Met up with Mr Showman and his son this evening and went along to a Hot rod and Classic Car meet
 
For the first meet of the year in a dark and cold Friday evening there were some nice machines there...

My your nephew has grown Charlie, here is a couple of pics of my grand daughters riding my raider

Over the last 13 months my nephew has been (mucking in) well sitting watching, he loves sitting and watching anything to do with machinery, he used to love sitting in this walker in front of his favorite machine which was the Lister D Type engine, 
 
now hes out of his walker, he likes to sit on the machines and have a poke and a prod, and if i have the machines out when he comes over he can have a ride on my lap, 
 
today he tried out his seat I got him a while back, (never actually drove with it today) hes still a bit young for that sort of thing, but i think he approved of it, 
 
lets hope one day he has a collection of his own, 
 
do any of you have sons, daughters, or family members of a young age that enjoy this sort of thing? 
 

 
 

Hello all. I thought I'd share my most recently acquired project. Its an old International LB 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hp stationary engine. I have been collection old air cooled engines for awhile now, but this is my first of this type engine. Its getting a full restoration.
 The engine wasn't in to bad a shape when I got it. No compression, but it wasn't stuck, and it was complete. Here are a couple pics of it before disassembly.

Another recent addition to my collection is this Orline Dyna-Mite 300 generator set.
Usually the carb top on this late model 13B engine has no primer button, also the fuel tank filler is extended to the top of the frame.

A good show to start the rally season, Tractor World at the Three Counties Showground at Malvern had a good line up
of tractors and a well supported Horticultural section
 
In the Horticultural pedestrian machine class the Mackellow and Wakefield entries cleared the board with Jimbos ATCO
machines coming first and third with our Jobber display in second place
 
I will update with the other class results when I get the information, meanwhile here's some photos from Friday (setup day)
