pmackellow got a reaction from rotoscytheben in Farmfitters Multi Gardner
More progress over the weekend...
Multigardner 3 has been painted and fitted to the graveyard mower chassis, and a new addition is this mower... although badged as a Norlett it is identical to the Farmfitters Rapier mower that was also offered as an attachment for the Multigardner...
I have another use for the B&S engine thats on it so nothing is going to waste...

pmackellow got a reaction from wurzel in Conyers Battery Charging Set
A mate of mine down on the Sussex Coast (no not Mr Showman) has a large collection of stationary engines, mainly generators and battery charging sets, amongst which is a little set made by W.E.Conyers Ltd. I always fancied this little set and thought if one came along I would add it to the collection, as its 6 12 or 24 volt I could use it to demonstrate the 12 volt Tarpen equipment that I have.
Walking round the Sunday Sortout at Newark last November I spotted a Conyers set on the very last stall we looked at. It wasn't dear so was duly purchased and brought back to the camping field (see first photo below)
A few days later I popped down to see our mate Steve who owns the other Conyers set and found that not only did my set run with a bit of tinkering (and a bit of smoke - too much oil in the petrol) but that it and Steves set are only two serial numbers apart !!

We also have a few Landmaster machines, some of these were also displayed at Ardingly last year (photos taken before the low flying Trojan arrived )

pmackellow got a reaction from neil in Whats the worst car you ever owned
To be fair to the old blue oval I have had three Focus, a 1.6 hatch which was a bit of a dog, a 2 litre hatch which was superb, only bettered by the 2 litre estate I had for 8 years before trading it in last year for the Duster..
My dad was in the Ford world in the motor trade for many years so I think some of his influence rubbed off, until now I have only ever owned Ford or Vauxhall cars and they never let me down, luck of the draw I suppose...

Hello Wallfish, these sets were distributed in the UK by Tarpen Engineering
I have a large and ever growing collection of Tarpen tools and was lucky enough to purchase one of these sets in 2013
Photo shows my set at our local meet and greet at Xmas 2013.
Another photo from a show in June 2013 showing my Turbair set flanked by a pair of Landmaster rotavators
