I made an aluminum base plate based on DustyB's picture provided. Thanks again DustyB!  I used an old scrap speed limit sign I had and cut it out of that.  Believe it or not, I was able to find locally, NOS 10-32 Palnuts.  It was an all or none purchase so now I have around 80-100 of these...   I was not able to find any feet that were close to original so I decided to use what I had, and since I have extra Palnuts,  I used them as fasteners on the feet as well. Not correct as original, but it all matches nicely and I think it looks good...

August 25th 2020..... scrapped bubbled paint off the right side by the front of the frame and the foot rest and primered it, and primered the left foot rest as it was hardly painted. I also took the dash board off to redo it......

    Hey Y'all,

This is a thread of my 1967 Craftsman tractor projects. If you have not seen them already here is a little history on em.......

Pull Start Power Unit- Although not officially mine yet, this tractor has now been 3 generations owned since new. My stepfathers grandfather bought it new in 1967 then it was passed down to my stepfathers father, then it was passed down to my stepfather. In 2018 it was resurrected and brought back to life after sitting for 25+ years under a tarp in the backyard. The very first time out at our local fairs 70th annual fair and not 100% finished yet in 2018,  it won the "Most Original Tractor" award. It is a 10 horsepower Tecumseh engine with a 3 speed plus reverse transmission.

Electric Start Power Unit- I am the 3rd owner of this mighty fine machine, I bought it August 9th 2020/ It was for sale not too far from me in Cheshire Connecticut. I was coming home from my grandfathers house on my mothers side one day, and I spotted it on the side of the road and had to pull over to look at it since it looked exactly like the pull start Craftsman I have already. Little did I know it was for sale, and that said I HAD TO have it and is one of the main reasons. Well that and the electric start.  I went back 2 times to look at it and negotiate before finally striking a deal with the 2nd owner. The 2nd owner told me he bought it at an auction and started a restoration before he retired in  about 2007, he also told me that the first owner was a farmer. It has headlights, electric start, and also a 10 horsepower Tecumseh engine with 3 speeds and reverse.

Here are some pictures for everybody......

Not very unusual, it's a Bulgin connector commonly found on vintage electronics, very sensible for it to be the version that normally gets fitted to a mains lead, that way you can't accidentality plug your 12V Turbair into the mains. Why they have used a 5A rated connector when the Turbair is rated at 10A I don't know.

Thinking about it there is a risk of a Bulgin mains lead being plugged into the battery pack, I can imagine the battery would get pretty angry if it had 240V connected to it.

    Hi there
Yes definitely agree that it looks better without the cowling! Have you used the outboard at all or do you just collect and display?. Your garage certainly looks way more organized than mine by the way!

I have the 8th edition & the 16th edition (which is probably the last update for when they became AEP), I would have scanned the relevant pages, but as they still make a version of this book there may be copyright problems, hence why I stick to the stuff O&R sent out.

    Hi Paul

    Thanks!
I can only get access to two of them at the moment due to my garage being full...attached photos of both my outboard and one generator. The generator has all the original paperwork with it too which is great.
Here is one of my generators

It has been a while since we have have posted. We have started a new project which is to build a replica of the Bolens large frame snow/dirt blade, Bolens part number 18085. The simple rule is that it is not allowed to snow until we are finished

This is a very rare attachment and realistically our only chance of owning one is to make a replica. Chris Stoneman recently purchased one of the few know to exisit in the UK and we picked it up for him which gave us the chance to take lots of measurements.

Chris's blade did not come with the lift push rods and we need some help with those. In the manual, it says that the distance between the centre line of the holes in the clevis rodes is 26-1/2" which gives a bit of an insight into the lengths of the rods. We did some searching on the Internet and that highlighted that the push rods are 20" long for the early large frames and 22-1/2" long for the HT's. We will be fitting this to our HT20 which suggests we need to make 22-1/2" rods. If someone has this attachement I would be grateful if you can measure the length of the push rods and confirm if they are 22-1/2". Also it would be helpful to know the length of the threaded part of the rod. Thanks in advance.

At the moment we get one tractor day a week so this project will take a while but it should be fun and I hope you follow along. I am making some notes of the work we are doing and making videos of the progress. In today's video I cover the preperation and cutting of the metal.
