pmackellow 2,738 #127 Posted July 22, 2016 Steve D came round yesterday and we pulled the tractor apart to see what's up with the gearbox... There's a couple of gear wheels with broken teeth and a lot of play on the gear lever assembly Hopefully a chap we know down West with a MM has some spares he has offered to help so fingers crossed Here's the photos, starting with the seat base/fender... 1 Triumph66 reacted to this

Triumph66 1,256 #132 Posted July 22, 2016 Always good to have a helping hand with these things. The original blue in the gear box is very vivid. I wonder if that would be how the tractor look like when brand new? Whereabouts is this fellow in the West Country Paul? 1 pmackellow reacted to this
pmackellow 2,738 #133 Posted July 22, 2016 I am pretty sure the tractor should be the metallic like blue that it is, its very close to the old Landmaster colour The chap with the bits is in Radstock 1 Triumph66 reacted to this

S1g 579 #136 Posted July 23, 2016 Looks like a giant jigsaw puzzle, Paul. Hope you manage to find all the new parts off your source, otherwise hopefully the damaged cogs will be the same as something else more common. Are the bearings ok? I've just recently rebuilt a gem gearbox and because all the bearings were imperial the bill for them came to over £300 on their own. 1 pmackellow reacted to this
pmackellow 2,738 #137 Posted July 23, 2016 Fingers crossed the parts have been found, will be off to Zummerzet next Sunday with trailer to pick them up (another gearbox/back end) 2 nigel and S1g reacted to this
pmackellow 2,738 #138 Posted July 23, 2016 Ideal painting weather today so gave the back wheels and hubcaps a rub down and a coat of IH red... 4 nigel, Stormin, Alan and 1 other reacted to this

pmackellow 2,738 #145 Posted July 25, 2016 Front wheels got a clean up this evening, I would have removed them to do it but was not happy leaving the whole tractor up on axle stands !! Coat of IH red tomorrow... New front tyres to go on somewhen, I will get the rear end back on the ground first... 1 nigel reacted to this
