S1g 579 #76 Posted August 7, 2016 There's an old version of one of those trailers in our yard, problem is it's so heavy that you are restricted these days what you can actually put on it and still stay legal. Very handy for loading though.

Rocboni 257 #78 Posted August 7, 2016 Put rear conveyor on to weld lugs back on, total length 20ft and I can stand under the rear roller and I'm over 6ft 2 Stormin and Anglo Traction reacted to this
Stormin 4,458 #79 Posted August 7, 2016 Rather than add plates to tilt the auger, is it possible to rig up a way to raise and lower the auger? 1 Rocboni reacted to this
Rocboni 257 #80 Posted August 7, 2016 No as it would hit the drive roller (yellow bit) the only thing I can do is to tilt it but it adds to the length. This thing is pulled out but usually those to holes line up underneath the yellow bit
Chris 642 #81 Posted August 7, 2016 You need a heavy weight on the tip of the conveor. That way it will pull a wheelie & you can get it up ramps 1 Rocboni reacted to this

Rocboni 257 #96 Posted September 17, 2016 Well, today Jonathan came for the skimmer, I also sold him my Mg40 due to it just being in storage. Loading the skimmer went smoothly much to my relief, I was worried that we couldn't get it on, but I lifted the front and jammed a peice of wood between machine and auger which gave it some ground clearance. No pictures as I was driving, I'm sure Jonathan will have one or two.

expeatfarmer 591 #99 Posted September 19, 2016 Travelled home from Jedburgh loaded with skimmer and MG40 sachs, Not sure what weight I had on board but towed well. Crawler garage nearly finished but not quite so will have to have another shift around to store them away. 3 Alan, Stormin and nigel reacted to this
