pmackellow 2,738 #10 Posted August 8, 2016 This is the rubber matting I was talking about Chris, its 50 inches long so should do the trick... 2 Triumph66 and the showman reacted to this

the showman 4,074 #12 Posted August 8, 2016 Steel ordered today for the blades, 48" x 7" x 7.5 mm, and my mate's going to roll it too, also asked him for 2 small strips to go along the bottom edge to hold the rubber on. After Rural past times Norm and I will be making 2 graderblades to take to Biddenden tractorfest, its going to be a joint build so should be a laugh just hope we can do it in time 3 Alan, pmackellow and Triumph66 reacted to this
Stormin 4,458 #13 Posted August 8, 2016 The strip along the bottom will serve two purposes. Primarily for me, it will act as a wear strip, with the option of fitting a rubber strip if used on concrete/tarmac etc. It could be a laugh or the end of a friendship. 3 Alan, the showman and Triumph66 reacted to this
Alan 1,273 #14 Posted August 8, 2016 Norm. If Chris abandons you on your visit to John's, and leaves you to find your own way back, you will know the friendship has ended. 2 Stormin and Triumph66 reacted to this
the showman 4,074 #15 Posted August 9, 2016 The only way he'll get abandoned is if he wonders off into the wilderness, never to be seen again. 3 Stormin, Alan and Triumph66 reacted to this
the showman 4,074 #16 Posted August 9, 2016 Just been and collected the blades from the fabricators, made a nice job and heavy too 7 pmackellow, meadowfield, ranger and 4 others reacted to this
Stormin 4,458 #17 Posted August 9, 2016 Look good Chris. Heavy is good also. But before you get carried away and start drilling holes, the bottom edge of wear strip needs to be 3/8" to 1/2" below the bottom edge of the blade. 2 Triumph66 and the showman reacted to this
