Stormin 4,458 #302 Posted April 12, 2015 Beautiful job Mark. Just a thought. How about fitting a tool box or carrier to the fender? Just seems a bit bare.

Triumph66 1,256 #304 Posted April 12, 2015 I agree with Chris, a cool box would be an iconic American add on! Don't forget a fixed bottle opener as well!

meadowfield 1,900 #306 Posted April 14, 2015 you going to bring it down souf in august then mark, so i can have a play. Are you not coming to Newby? Beautiful job Mark. Just a thought. How about fitting a tool box or carrier to the fender? Just seems a bit bare. Been contemplating what to add there, I was perhaps thinking a winch... Or a cool box Now I did think about a desperado holder.... I agree with Chris, a cool box would be an iconic American add on! Don't forget a fixed bottle opener as well! image.jpg I reckon there's a few places I could open a bottle already if stuck It looks amazing Mark, I bet you're very happy. You have created a monster! Alan 1,273 #309 Posted April 16, 2015 Read through all 16 pages of this build last night, I had only seen some of the later posts since joining MOM, and am amazed that Bendy was built in such a short time. What with all the thinking, machining and doing there couldn't have been much time left for going to work etc. A brilliant piece of engineering. 1 meadowfield reacted to this
meadowfield 1,900 #310 Posted April 17, 2015 no cant make it this year mark so you will have to bring it down souf and put it to some real work on the hill It's looking like our entries for our favourite show in august have not been accepted, so I might well be joining you.... I'll start saving up now!Bendy looks great Mark, certainly RS calender material Thanks Ian Read through all 16 pages of this build last night, I had only seen some of the later posts since joining MOM, and am amazed that Bendy was built in such a short time. What with all the thinking, machining and doing there couldn't have been much time left for going to work etc. A brilliant piece of engineering. Thanks!I work in London all week, and get a few days at home to play... But all that time driving and in hotel rooms gives me plenty of time to dream the ideas up. It's actually 5 years since I thought about it, and two years since I started 3 diggerjames, Alan and Cub Cadet reacted to this
meadowfield 1,900 #311 Posted April 25, 2015 Small update, Bendy finally has an exhaust Cue a piece of child's swing, a table leg and lots of holes Filled with fibreglass and welded up And a nice stainless heat guard 2 Stormin and Cub Cadet reacted to this
meadowfield 1,900 #312 Posted May 16, 2015 Short update Bendy now has a remote locking diff Used a bike brake cable in order to span the articulation joints and make life a bit easier. Spring loaded selector keeps it in or out of lock And a quick video http://youtu.be/Kw6FG_wYTqA 1 Cub Cadet reacted to this

meadowfield 1,900 #317 Posted June 26, 2015 Looks like you had some fun with bendy up those steps mate Yup!Updates are sparse due to moving house, just found this pic from Tractorfest. I did some replica chrome decals for the new shifter plates on the transmission tunnel. 2 Joe the small engine man and Cub Cadet reacted to this
meadowfield 1,900 #318 Posted August 14, 2015 Been a while between posts, bendy is now getting used with a vengeance. For sure the crank pin needs sorting, it's getting noisier by the minute Whilst pulling up the cattle grid, I lost 4wd. A look underneath revealed this . The rear needs a belt guard to stop the long grass getting in 1 Cub Cadet reacted to this
meadowfield 1,900 #319 Posted January 3, 2016 Long overdue an update! But now I have a fairly functional workshop I can get on with the outstanding jobs to complete bendy. In no particular order: Improve final drive to live rear axle, if the belts get wet or grass gets trapped then I lose drive under extreme conditions. Complete front three point hitch Add a diff lock indicator and improve the spring tension Complete the hydraulics. Add a front chain idler - the front chain has stretched and flaps around a bit Get the crank pin reground on the magnum 16 I'm thinking of tackling the hydraulics next, here's a d series dual spool valve and transit power steering pump. There should be just enough room to squeeze them in under the front right fender. 1 Cub Cadet reacted to this
