mattblack 76 #152 Posted February 25, 2020 Looks great! You can't beat a bit of 'recycling'... in 30+ years of patching cars up I've never bought any steel. 1 the showman reacted to this
Cub Cadet 613 #153 Posted February 25, 2020 Should work well! my lawn ranger hood is rusted in the same places, not as bad but will have to sort it out some time! 1 the showman reacted to this

I think it’s the strengthening piece of trim they put along the edge, it’s upside down and it’s a water trap. They all seem to rust in the same place. 1 Cub Cadet reacted to this

the showman 4,074 #156 Posted February 27, 2020 Got some shed time working on the red bonnet, I finished sanding off the last of the red paint and my son came down with the mig welder and offered to weld it up for me. I went off to make the tea while he welded it up. All done and I started grinding it up but its not finished yet, I don’t want to cock it up so I’ll wait for him to come back tomorrow but I’m well pleased with the progress. 5 Triumph66, Stormin, Alan and 2 others reacted to this

the showman 4,074 #164 Posted February 28, 2020 Bonnet No2 gave me some grief as the blue paint wouldn’t move with paint stripper so i had to use a hot air gun and scraper and finally going over with a drill and sanding pad. This afternoon Steve came down and got the new tin all cut and clamped ready for welding. Looking good. 6 Stormin, Alan, Cub Cadet and 3 others reacted to this

the showman 4,074 #174 Posted March 8, 2020 Got a few bits done today, first was the lift handles, stripped and cleaned then 4 rear hubs and a few pulleys. The fuel tanks were in poor condition inside and a bit of head scratching.Plan. A acitone and pebbles and do the okey coney round the garden with one in each hand, plan B tie them to the rear wheels of a Wheelhorse and do donuts round the garden, and plan C Pams tumble dryer, then. I had a better idea, a cement mixer, strap them in and drink tea for an hour. 5 Stormin, Alan, nigel and 2 others reacted to this
