C-101plowerpower 548 #201 Posted April 1, 2015 chris i think that is for a stationary engine, since there is a fixed speed adjusting thingy if you look at page 9 of this you'll see: http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/2203-engine-kohler-k241-k301-service-engines/

Stormin 4,458 #205 Posted April 2, 2015 That's just the job, Chris. It was the pivot the cable attaches to that I needed to see. I really must take more photo's, BEFORE I take things apart.

Stormin 4,458 #207 Posted April 12, 2015 A little more progress.. Side panels and foot plate wear pads fitted. The reason I've fitted pads to the rear of the plates, is to stop boot heels marking there. My C-125 has quite a worn area on the left one. Fan/flywheel cover prepped and primed. 4 bowtiebutler956, Triumph66, nigel and 1 other reacted to this

Stormin 4,458 #210 Posted April 12, 2015 Thanks lads. Been looking up tyres. Carlisle Tru Power for the rear. 23x8.50x12. Carlisle Super Lug for the front. 16x6.50x8. Would have liked ribbed, but can't find any. What does the team think? And should I get tubes?
the showman 4,074 #211 Posted April 12, 2015 I've always got my rib tyres from all tarrain tyres, but don't know if they do them for the wider rims
the showman 4,074 #212 Posted April 12, 2015 Just had a look on their website, they only do a 3 rib in 400 x 8, but they do a multirib in a wider size, there listed under hay turner multirib
Triumph66 1,256 #213 Posted April 12, 2015 Looking very good Norman. I agree ribbed tyres would be ideal.
bowtiebutler956 166 #214 Posted April 12, 2015 I like the way its turning out Norm. I've always been a fan of using the tri-ribs up front with the AG's on the rear, but you probably already knew that, as all my GT's have that setup. Gotta love that big tractor look. the showman 4,074 #215 Posted April 12, 2015 Just had a look on their website, they only do a 3 rib in 400 x 8, but they do a multirib in a wider size, there listed under hay turner multirib Just had another look and they do a few in 16 650 x
meadowfield 1,900 #216 Posted April 12, 2015 If you can find some commando rims or earlier, they fit the 4x8 really nice. That's what Ewan fitted to his.
the showman 4,074 #217 Posted April 12, 2015 I used the early narrow rims on shak'in horse and the rowcrop

the showman 4,074 #219 Posted April 13, 2015 Thats smart, are you going to puff a bit of silver on the regular box ?
the showman 4,074 #220 Posted April 13, 2015 Just looked back at your earlier photos, maybe you haven't done the throttle cable yet but it needs to be outside the dipstick tube and there should be a bracket off the front bolt on the belt guard that go's thro the pto mounting plate
meadowfield 1,900 #221 Posted April 13, 2015 Ours is on the inside of the tube. The metal bracket won't let it go the other side. Agree it does look wrong though with the kink in...
Stormin 4,458 #222 Posted April 13, 2015 I've been trying to work that out myself. There's a clip with nut and bolt on the cable, about half way. Looking at one of my earlier photo's the cable seems to go inside the dipstick tube. Cant see where the clip fastens. I think I'll run it outside and make a bracket. Stormin 4,458 #224 Posted April 13, 2015 Thanks Mark. That's nice and clear. I knew there had to be a bracket, but can't find one in the bits boxes. I think I may make a dog legged one.
