Finished splitting them this afternoon and Pam stacked them in the log store. These are the wedges that i used, they split so easy it's like cutting a big cake I get a good barrow full from 2 slices -

I think your right Koen, i just had a look on the bay and they are very similar. never thought of finding marine stuff at johns, must be off a sea-horse.
