Certainly looks better!
Kinda with norm, forward control might look cool, given you are looking to make a hood stand, you could look at mixing it up a little...
-
Awesome! Only 1 day behind me
It needs censoring near the end too
-
That's a reasonable size JD, a few bob there....
-
I've a box of them waiting to zinc plate - one of the next jobs on the list
picky! thats all I really recovered from my ZTR after the fire - a pulley and key from the old briggs 12hp
-
here's the rest...not my hood - stole it from Ewan, also still 4x2 - I needed the tin work in place before I finished the idler and 4WD select/difflock
and the obligatory video
-
You lot are slow tonight!
-
Screwfix's finest, all my metric stuff is stainless and from there. It's cheaper than bzp !
-
Not a huge amount to show...
Footplates are mounted
Seat base almost there
And clutch finished
This pic also maybe gives a little more away....
-
Interesting project for someone then
-
awesome work, I could put something like that to good use!
-
That's awesome, adjustable dozer blade and backhoe... Everything you could ever want?
And it's on tracks!
-
That's quite a workshop.... Great start to the restore too
-
What's the serial number?
-
Yeah didn't the experts say it was a 6 though?I've no idea, it's just a cool old bit of kit
-
-
Did you get it working then?
-
Hey, welcome to my old machine. Can you share some pictures? Maybe come say hello in the introduction section.
-
I've just sold two on that auction site Ben!
One was a NOS, only been on a few months. I
-
oops!
32"
The parts manual says 5-0200, that's what the US number is, the number on my deck is different 5-8321 - but it is the same deck just a Belgium model number...
-
Yes its back, hedgerow is still there.
Its got a few articles on big equal wheeled tractors
So I'm happy...
-
The decks are unique to the rangers. We have two original ones and a home made one. Have a look on the other site, I think I posted the numbers there.
Failing that I'll tell you the model number when I get home.
They are a two blade 28" I think if you have a look...
-
heres my hood after a few days in the tank, just turned it over to cook the over side
-
thanks
no pressure then.....
short update, fixed the clutch and it wouldn't start. I unscrewed the spark plug and saw this
looked in the plug hole and it's totally coked up!
cleaned plug, poured fuel into the bore and it started briefly.
So next I cleaned the carb - inside and out it's a Walbro one, in reasonable nick. Not very dirty, but did have water in.
result is it starts again, next job make it start on the key
-
I agree on the tecumsehs working well, never had any bother until a few months ago when the rod went on our little V70 ranger. But at 40 years old it had a good innings!
-
Wow, that needs some work! Good luck
