Well... Remarkably, despite the engines being different makes, sizes and 30 years between them. The original exhaust actually fit and went through the hole in the chassis Gawd knows how that worked...
A quick mod to the heat shield and all looked good.
A bit of fuel and it started first time
And within an hour all was together and child no3 was back in action
Another job out of the way

Been on holiday for a week, and got severe horse withdrawal symptoms
Within 30 mins of getting home, here was my first job, removing the old pulleys from the techy
The shaft and keyways are identical between techy and Briggs
With four fresh holes, the 8hp Briggs drops straight in
Will hopefully try start tomorrow!

I've been following those pics Charlie, just been through the edge of blandford and the weather is still miserable. It's rained pretty dolid for the last 2 days. Current vote from my family is it's not worth the aggro getting in or getting out!
Will see what the weather does overnight and first thing tomorrow morning... Had my fill of being rained off at shows this year
