  1. I think its safe to say based on the numbers that not many were imported. Perhaps the ones that were, ended up being show pieces or demonstrators. Can't believe they rusted away or were scrapped!
  2. I know of 2 up north, both 70's. I also know of another 70 near Braintree who is one of my customers... But still they are rare!
  3. Looks like a kohler k161 engine....
  4. Have a look at my 3 point on bendy, it's a copy of the GT one and fits quite well. The rock shaft only needs 5-6 inches of movement...
  5. I'd say you don't need a long one There's not much room under the seat or round the back for a cylinder, so 6-9 inch is about right on the stroke. I might actually use a small 2 ton bottle jack to get mine all running before investing in a pump, spool valve and large cylinder....
  6. No one ever said, two horses was enough
  7. Child no 2 wants a 100 or 70.... They do seem to be like hens teeth
  8. steering pump will work, you just need to scale the lift cylinder diameter to match. i.e. on my GT14 the charge pump is only 700 psi, with the small wheel horse lift cylinder off a C-175 (1-1/4") the lift is only 0.4 tons. Scale the cylinder up to the size needed to lift the 3 point (3") and its got 2.2 tons of lift, by the time you go to the ends of the lift arms thats around 1/2 ton of lift.
  9. great find, you will have another in no time
  10. nice, one of my kids had their eye on that for a new project...
  11. Have a look at the pics, 2012 and 2013 we had around 25 - both meetings at Ardingly. This year at Newby we had 35...
  12. Happy wedding day!!! All the best, here's to many happy years together
  13. Andrew, It's still up for grabs, I'm happy to organise a northern round up again as that's my patch. I think we'll probably wait a few months before seeing if there's enough traction and a suitable volunteer to organise a southern meet Mark
  14. I've got half of one somewhere if you just need some parts....
  15. Fab, we've got the A to Z running, we brainstormed and magicked the names up.... Who's gonna post! Let's get it running
  16. good suggestion Neil if you are using Canon - they are about £3 from china, pretty useful for some shots.
  17. It wasn't yorkshire ale... I was in Hertfordshire
  18. Well... We lifted the engine and split it It's about what I expected. The con rod snapped and instead of going through the casing it hit the camshaft and snapped it in two Whilst the bore and piston look ok and there's no real damage to the casting I think it's going to be parted. I've got £45 in the starter and £30 in the carb, so might be looking to get some money back. Chris - 90% certain the cowl is yours...
  19. I'm in a pub with only an ipad... Here goes
