  1. Cheers boys, other than a few bottles of desperados no wheel horse presents!
  2. Now that looks fun, apart form the harsh ride! Bet you couldn't site down all week
  3. It's evolving.... What's it gonna be like next week
  4. Ha, awesome. That's the kind of thing I'd be doing
  5. Managed another half day today, getting fed up now.... But nearly there, I keep having to bolt it all together to try it then unbolt to do the next bit. It's so tight I'm having to turn the heads down on bolts to give me clearance! Here's the selector linkage parts. And together working Back at work all week, so that's it for a while. Tour de France at the weekend, so might not get much done then either
  6. Smaller rear wheels? That helps with the gearing a lot! Top speed will be about 2/3 what it was...
  7. been busy today My plan works, but boy is it tight in there, the diff has to go in one way and I have an inch to get the additional bits in. turning one side down to make room for the bolts - note the oil in the spindle oiler the selector cage all together in the lock position I've started work on the selector fork and slider, now it's getting tighter. It's a good job I don't need all the gears
  8. glad to be of assistance and I think the new plan is more sensible than using the wh transmission... plus who needs reverse
  9. Depends what the bearings are and the lubricant... Spinning a bronze bearing at 4000 rpm not good, friction is high and it's hard to get oil into the bearing. I'm assuming they are sleeved bronze for cost and longlife. Did the gearbox once contain oil or grease? I'll bet the right angle drive from the original engine is oil filled and roller/ball bearings.
  10. What's the gearbox and UJ drive shaft off?
  11. thats remarkably true, a wheel horse with 2 levers is cool - a wheel horse with a 4WD lever and a diff lock is something else! thats why the seat has to go so far back to fit the levers in!!!!!!!
  12. cheers! what a good idea, lets get going on engineering might be needed to make it go in a straight line!!!! heres a few more pics before I start the selector rings firstly the extended pinion gears and the final assembly
