I've noticed on both yours and Richards decks, they have the curved sections underneath. My rear discharge doesn't have those and I don't think it ever had. I'll see if I can find my rebuild thread from some time back. May not be on here but RS.
They accept implements and attachments, like ploughs etc that you want to lift of the ground.

Is it going to be a worker, Richard? I've no seals in the bearings in mine. I give them a couple of shots of grease now and them. Mine does get a lot of use and abuse though. Some of the ground I mow is quite rough.
