  1. Very nice that's two sets you've got now..... no need to be greedy only joking mate, you going to design them so they lift? Or just plonk them on with a drop pin and drag them along? (Discs that is)
  2. Well Norm, I must be one of your special friends I received mine in the post today. looking forward to it now.
  3. Cheers guys, Sadly no more information on them bikes Ian, there was a group of them but no one knew where they came from just arrived went round the track and then disappeared again Yes chris, we just knocked the windows out, chucked the chains through and lifted it with the hiab, just kidding... They where a pain to load and unload due to the ride height on them, had to back it / lower it off in stages with lots of ramps and wood
  4. Hello All, Bit late to post this but I was waiting to hear back from the organisers about how much was raised over the weekend! Last weekend I was away with my friend helping out at the 'The Super Car Event' that's held at the top gear track at Dunsfold every year. he runs his family owned breakdown recovery service that covers all of Sussex and Surrey, we normally go out on calls involving fords and volvo's etc, but last weekend was something amazingly different as we was recovering high end performance cars! The weekend is held to support the Childrens Trust Charity and this year everyone raised a whooping £115,000 for the charity. lots to see and do over the weekend, If any of you are into your cars I'd defiantly suggest going next year! its a life time experience to get driven round the top gear test track at high speeds! It was a first for me, I got driven round in all my dream cars! all sorts of cars arrived for you to ride in... Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Dodge Vipers, The Rare 'La Ferrari' and also the Lexus LFA and many many more.... here is a few photos. but hardly a touch of what was there. a few people can say they have been to the track, but not many can say they have camped on the outfield of the track! Best view out of all from the back of the lorry! The best bit about being 'behind the scenes' as such, was being in the pit lane! all of a sudden something different appeared! and YES! they did go round the track on them! This next one is one of the cars that broke down and wanted to be taken back home, he was furious! he had just had his gearbox/automatic/electronic clutch thingy repaired and a full service... he was showing us the paper work when we got back to his house as we didn't believe it! £16,000 for the work he had carried out... all for it to go boom again! and another one we had to take home.. it seems to be I wont be buying a black Ferrari...... they don't seem to be doing too well
  5. Happy Birthday Chris, Have a great day!
  6. Postman must use motor vehicles up your way Norm, I think he still delivers on horse back here, I'll get mine in time for 2016's show
  7. It's always good to have a little extra room, as you never know what you might end up buying! Lovely job! Very nice.
  8. That's good, best pull my finger out and sort a few bits and pieces! Hoping I can adapt something to work in time!
  9. was mine received in time do you know Chris?
  10. Yesterday I was lucky enough to get offered this machine, My friend has had it for years, but has never really used it as he has no where to drive it! I spoke to him about it for a while and then went over to see it after I finished college. as soon as I got there I fell in love with it I knew I had to have it! It needs a little tidying up, lots of prep and painting, a few pieces of wiring sorting out and a decent fuel tank! oh, and its got one slow puncture, The bonus is, it runs drives, and is very fast! big smiles on my face! I haven't discovered any makers name yet, but the engine has castings HONDA and 450cc.... It wouldn't fit down the side of the house! so had to take it through the field out the back!
  11. I see. I was pretty sure I had seen the collection else where before but wasnt sure, then when I see it from the camera angle above^ Ithought it was with your horses and van
  12. Lovely displays as always Chris, Paul. Chris is that your collection of old fuel/oil cans?
  13. The research starts here!! well I've put every name of garden tractor in front of the words 'tipping cart' utility wagon' 'trailer' and still no luck, but now there is two of us looking, we may get a break through! Yes once they are both restored it would be nice to meet up a show, they came from the same owner, and can be reunited for the weekend once given a good new life
  14. Very nice! is that a wheel horse cutter bar?
  15. Hello Philip That's a nice trailer you've got there! I'm lead to believe I used that trailer that you just brought a few weeks back to move a cart load of stuff from one place to another, If its the same one, you're lucky.. I was going to buy that one as well on my return visit , but we got half way there and the clutch went on the van so we had to switch vehicles and take the car so sadly I couldn't fit it in, however I could be wrong and it may be a complete different cart! but I don't think so. as for the carts them self, I think they are exactly the same, just like you say yours has the pneumatic tyres, which is probably the original just mines been fitted with solid wheels and tyres. and as for the tipping leaver that will look different as mine has the arm snapped off, so I'd go so far as to say there are the same cart, funny you should say that mine has a little green underneath, but mainly an olive sort of colour!
  16. Very nice, bet you're pleased now it's home, My disc too is seized apart from that I've freed most of mine up, ill be following this with interest!
  17. Thanks Chris! So today I went about sanding it down and painting it. I was going to add a skim of filler all over it to get rid of the pitting! but I thought if I do that it may look like its made with new iron, I thought if I leave it a little pitted and give it a few coats of paint, its rough age will still be there, so anyway the frame is now all painted up with a few coats of gloss black, just waiting to put some good quality grained wood into it and varnish it up.
  18. Wow! It's not until I've seen it in front of that tractor that I've realised the size of it! will look good behind your tractor Paul!
  19. Very nice piece of kit that. Welcome to MoM
  20. Is it the flywheel you cant get off or the nut? If its the flywheel use a puller, im not sure there is any other way without causing damage,a puller works everytime for me.
  21. How many points is that guess worth It's actually a good idea boys! Never thought of that or seen it until now.
  22. Me being slightly slow here, I'll blame it on still being early but what is the purpose of the bungee cords and rope round the seats to the steering wheels? Is it to stop people getting on the exhibit? Or am I way off the point......
  23. Well today I woke up and looked out the window, the weather was lovely and the sun was shining bright so I thought to my self, what to do today... I got the transport box out of the shed that I've just recently picked up, I've been told it's a Mayfield Tractor Transport Box. I started looking at it from all different and weird angles and sat and thought about it, then something popped into my head, I know its not done professionally nor is it an official cub cadet attachment, but it gave me something to do and in fact I'm really pleased with the outcome, I am hoping to sand it all down,.... might take a while, the weather has got to it pretty bad, but once its sanded down, I hope to paint the metal frame up in a nice gloss black, and then get some good quality grained wood and varnish that for the bottom, back and sides, I know normally these would have tin sides, but It will never be worked. I got a picture before I started and a fair few from when It's finished, but once I got stuck in I forgot to pick the camera up and take some photos of the process but here is some of it now lifting etc, hopefully within the week it may be all painted up. Yesterday just trying it out for looks! Refitting the lift arm. It's now lifting
  24. I do like Norms little dolly or whatever you want to call it! very smart! also Mark towers above all of you sitting high on Bendy!
