A few years ago I brought a set of rear wheels & turf tyres for my bolens tractors on the bay
They have been sat in the shed for years. I thought to myself I will fit a set of agri grip tyres so I have a set for my 1886.
The other month, these poped up on the bay, brand new so I brought them & had them shipped down to me.
At the weekend after buying some new tubes, I fitted them. Good when you own a tyre machine
Just need some time to fit them to the tractor
Sorry to here that Charlie.
What about a larger bolens tractor which needs some tlc??
I was offered a tractor & deck at after the tractor fest.
The owner was open to sensible offers as it needs work & engine put back in. Its a monster 18hp single cylinder tech
PM me with your email & I can send you info if you wish
I would rather it go as one lump Ian.
We thought about removing the engine & box etc & scrap the rest.
At this point in my life I am not going to have the time to do this project & as I have others to do/finish I wont have the funds
Thought I would ask you lot 1st
I have a Landrover Discovery sat in the field with a good 3.9 V8 & Auto Box
Its for spares only or an off road toy or fit the engine in your wheel horse
Was owned by a friend who sadly died earlier in the year & I have been helping his widdow selling off his stuff
Any interest??
I poped out of the workshop on Friday for 10 mins to pick up some parts which had arrived
When I got back, on of the guys came up to me & said something had gone bang in my workshop! Thinking that it may have been the landrover I had been working on had slipped of the axle stands. Wrong!
Our old Case 885XL tractor winscreen had gone bang What a mess that will be to clean up. It was only parked in the barn next door!!
Not bad since it was fitted in 1987
My money is on the valves & ignition
The coil is electronic, you cant do anything with it apart from replace at great cost. Have you changed the plugs, correct gaps etc??
If you say the carb is refurbed & tested it cant be that
