It sounds like a case of someone using a Bolens and realising how fantansic they are, then incorrectly coming to the conclusion that they must be sell for 10 times what other brands sell for.

    Chris/Norm,
The blades look great, you have done a fantastic job in a short time. Unfortunately I now feel the need to make one, another thing to add to the list.

For a future modification, you could make the attachment bracket in two parts that can swivel. That way you could have one side of the blade lower/higher than the other, to enable you to grade an angle. Just a thought...

All we've got to do is load them in the van and try them out at the weekend at Biddenden.
I think we made good progress on these and I'm very pleased with them, they are really easy to fit and will fit any of the C series tractors. They hav'nt been painted yet but i think we done well to get them usable

We didn't have to reposition the lugs for the lift. Chris had a good hunt through his stock of brake/clutch/lift rods and found a couple that got modified. His is the fully assembled one, the other is mine. The wear strip has yet to have the holes squared. I may not fit the rubber strip, then I may. Depends on what I using it for.
They are only painted in primer and will be fully painted in the near future.
I reckon we haven't done so bad in the time we had and we didn't fall out. I know one thing. I could do with a holiday.

Finished the driveway weed removal and gravel redistribution. Wow, that's a long driveway. Most of the weed removal was accomplished by hand and hoe, glad to finally get some seat time on the D160

We have owned a Cub Cadet 100 for a few years after saving it from being turned into a racing lawn mower

The tractor actually belongs to my better half Wendy who lets me drive it occasionally

Here's some photos of its outings this year, Nutley Windmill, Smallholders Show and Rural Past Times so far, Tractorfest next weekend and then it hibernates for the Winter !!

The middle spindle bearing were shot (an understatement), the others are probably worn badly as well. I got thee center spindle out and apart ready to install the new bearings. This is my fourth deck, the Bolens 1256 1476, and Wheel Horse D160 decks are done, I'll be making one good Allis deck out of the other two parts decks I have as well. That should give me ten running tractors with decks. and I have two more coming up in the queue to get decks under them, The Homelite T16H is running and has a good deck under her, I just need to finish the rear lift rod. The CASE 224 needs reassembled and the deck is already completely restored

I would just like to say a big thank you to all the exhibitors and friends that came to see us over the weekend at Rural Past Times.
It was the biggest display of horticultural exhibits we've had at the show and I'm very greatful to you all for your support.
I hope you all had a good time and will join me next year,
    Once again many thanks everybody.

Been a really good weekend, despite being to hot and to much traffic. I'm not used to either. Good to put faces to names, Iain and Richard to mention two. I'll make a more detailed report when I get home in a week.

I really enjoyed it today and thanks to Nigel for letting me drive the blue Trojan; a little gem of a tractor for someone with a smaller body mass.

Also many thanks to Chris for setting up and organising another splendid day.

Great to meet up with everyone  and good to meet up with Iain after two years emailing each other. Also thanks to Chris for allowing me to drive his Bolens 1886.  A fantastic machine as suspected.

I got a year to start planning a mini Bolens invasion at RPT !
