  1. Just when we think we have found everything, more items are discovered.
  2. It's a Nigel or Paul ( get you fit ) push plough, not for a tractor to play with.
  3. I've still got that to find out. How old am I. WHAT ! Really.
  4. You may have Chris. ? Don't remember though.
  5. Oi.! I'm slim and streamlined, except for the middle section.
  6. And make the seat a LOT wider.
  7. Are you delivering it to Norm with the potatoe lifter. ? They would make a nice pair.
  8. And while you are up there, collect the Ransom engine bits and deliver to Koen. SUTTON INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY SERVICE.
  9. OK Norm. Now got your name on it.
  10. YES. Next visit. It will need work though. Apart from seized parts some, maybe all, of the five spring arms ? are rusted away where they join the triangular spade. Do you want another signed for special delivery. I'm sure Chris would be happy to oblige.
  11. A few more items found weeks ago while clearing out at John's. First, a 9" diameter wheel. Crude and not perfectly round. Any idea's anyone. Steering or control wheel.? 1/2" bar and split clamp with 1/2" bore. Next, an odd looking spring compressor. Third is a Potato lifter ? Can be angled left or right. Well, it could if it wasn't it seized up. Various other seized up adjustments too. And the biggest turnbuckle / tensioner the Showman says he has ever seen. He is wondering if he can use it on a future project. Mentioned on the forum recently was a few lengths of box section steel with Royal Mail lettering. Stormin Norm requested they be thrown into the Showman's van for him for when they next meet. Chris was muttering something today about making a special delivery, signed for and tracked, trip. Well, his van is red. After tearing himself away from tea and coffee making duties at home, he has to keep his builders happy, Chris was sent to collect some roofing tiles from John. Where else. To make the trip worth while, and due to a shortage of red bits, another load of sticks went back home with him. Another nice but cold "What can we find today" day.
  12. What a short memory he has Norm. He saw them only two days ago. Looks like I will have to show him as I know EXACTLY where they are. He might start remembering things when he gets to my age.
  13. Bet there will be a lot of "Where does this bit go" and "I'm sure something went here" when it's re assembly time.
  14. Triumph66, on 10 Mar 2016 - 7:33 PM, said: Nothing exciting Andrew. 3 or 4 pieces of box section steel. 2 x 1 about 24" long approx with Royal Mail in gold lettering. No idea what they were from or how John came by them. The Showman didn't show any interest even though they were red.
  15. Looked a lot more when the sticks were joined together Paul.
  16. Got an old scrap WHITE Marina Iain. Any good to you. ?
  17. He's ALWAYS looking to see what he's missed Norm. Still hoping he'll find more red bits.
  18. Nice to see Chris again today. After staying away he came back for another play and had a great day. OK, I'm not the best poet. After an earlier than usual cuppa, we decided to drag two of John's Marina's from out from the barn lean to, their home for the last ten years. As the ground was still wet and muddy, plus an upward incline to contend with, the digger was used which gave Chris the chance to perfect his lever twiddling skills. He's getting good at this and is trying to think of a way to tell Pam that he needs a digger as a playmate for his horses. The first car out was the estate which was towed around to John's garage so that it's soon to be new owner could work on it in comfort. A few bits had been removed from the engine. Eagle eyed viewers might spot a well known red van in the background. The difficult part was getting the car up and over the step at the garage entrance. Bits of wood as a ramp didn't help much, combined with rough ground, sticking brakes and not enough muscle power. A rethink was needed and the end result caused Chris to say "That's the first time I've got a car into a garage through a window". How ? Various ropes and chains from the car, across the garage, through a window at the rear of the garage, then attached to the digger. Problem solved. The second car was a lot easier. Not so far to go this time. The digger to start with, then pulled / pushed into the shed. This one could have been driven if a suitable battery had been available. Rounded off the day by loading the Sprinter with wood for Chris's fire plus a final cuppa. Got to keep the old boy warm.
  19. Alain. That's a strange looking friend you have in the second photo. Apart from the plastic bag ? clothing, he is only wearing one sock and his feet point in different directions. I'm off to now.
  20. All that time spent building it, now it's broken already. Some people never look after anything.
  21. Thought it was welsh men that the sheep were attracted too.

Chris says he has run out of room for tractors. He just fills his van up with little bits and pieces now. Still not sure what he's got planned for the Kubota though.
  23. If you are quick Norm, you can whisk the Kubota away while Chris is still dreaming.
  24. While on his weekly fix to John's today, Chris and I decided to start up the Kobota digger which had not been used since the last time it was used to see if we could unearth the 3 furrow Ransome plough which had sunk itself a couple of inches into the ground. John, when asked, didn't want to drive, so I did the pushing and pulling while Chris placed lumps of wood under the now uncovered lower sections which, apart from a bit of rust, were not as bad as we had expected. As the digger usually lived outside, and as there was now space available in the barn, we thought it would be nice to offer it a new home. After hearing the cogs clanking in Chris's cranium, and guessing what he was thinking, he was asked if he wanted a play. Silly question. He was like a little kid at Christmas with a new toy. To cut a short story long, he managed to get the digger through the barn doors without scraping the paint. A tank would have gone through with room to spare but I didn't want to upset Chris by mentioning this. He said he used to drive mini diggers BIG brothers years ago. A few action photo's. As can be seen while on his way to the barn, Chris is trying to decide what new project he can use the digger for. A few thoughts spring to mind. First, will it fit into the Sprinter. How about a half track Wheel Horse. The engine would look good in a Wheel Horse RJ. In the third photo it is difficult to decide if Chris is dreaming of his new project or if he is nodding off. And finally, Chris wanted to take home a little present for Nigel. Not wanting to splash out on a bunch of roses and with no pansy's in sight, a dead branch of drowned leafy things was spotted in the digger bucket after tipping out a lot of frozen water. With a naughty gleam in his eye's he muttered THAT WILL DO. Only the best for Nigel.
