Alan reacted to Cub Cadet in Plasma cutter from Lidl
Nice buy Joseph, I bought one last year and its a great tool, I'd definitely recommend the cutting guide as it keeps the torch an equal distance away from the metal at all times as i've found the cutting nozzles wear out quicker if its touching the metal. You'll also find that its not necessary to clean all of the metal surface, just the part that the earth clips to.
Heres me cutting some 1/2" steel last week and happy cutting!

I did think about that but I need a good brush and a steady hand and I've got neither at the moment

Started putting Ben together today and I needed a couple of shift lever boots, I found some on fly bay at £18-75 each
Looking around in the shed I found a rack gaiter left over from a job that fitted perfectly ( with a bit of lube on the stick ) back on fly bay searched the number and a pair for £7-30 a pair , umm guess what. ?

Alan reacted to Joseph in Westwood D1200 puncture
We started the day with a simple puncture repair on the Westwood D1200 which we were not planning to video. Due to an interesting discovery we thought we would share what we found.

It's a very, very wet field, Alan. When they came harvest it, the self propelled forager got bogged down 6 times. They gave up after 2hrs and went elsewhere.

A year and a half ago Norm. Why the wait. ? Just as well Chris didn't know.

A year and a half ago, contractors were working in the field opposite me. They cut down some trees and just pushed them to the field edge. So today I fitted the tote box to the Sears/Roper, hitched up the trailer and went firewood gathering.
Tomorrow I'll go for some more.

Looks really good Chris. Must have taken a while to get everything set up. A nice day for it too.

Good Friday and lovely sunshine , what better way to spend a lockdown than with a spray gun.

Alan reacted to Stormin in Little steering mod.
The steering on the C-121 Black Horse, was a little heavy. Yesterday I did a bit of investigating.
I found that the track rod ends were just fouling the steering arms. The track rods slope downwards and the steering arms tilt inwards. So I knocked up a couple of spacers this morning. Just 1/4" thick and really need to be thicker, but I'd no bolts long enough to fit through thicker ones. Another future mod one day.
If you look closely at the photo, you can see the top of the spacer is slightly chamfered.
Not done a proper road test yet. I'll do that tomorrow. The rest of the day was spent getting the C-125 running better and made a towing attachment for the Sears/Roper.

Just spent the day doing a few little jobs before painting begins and replaced all the transmission oil seals.
Nice little package arrived in the post from Machinery Decals, Titch is really top man for Wheelhorse decals, I’m really pleased with the.
I think they will really add the final touch to the build.

Alan reacted to Stormin in A little photo shoot.
Just so my tractors don't feel to neglected, with what's going on, I decided to have a little photoshoot on the green.

As the day finished yesterday i had a final check that all the fabrication was done and I’m quite pleased with how they look.
As the day finished today all I’ve got is a big pile of bits.
