What you have seems to be. 1961 suburban , however the hood may be off of a lawn ranger as the 61 models had a small square hole on the dash for the throttle & choke controls . As previously mentioned spares will be difficult to find over here in UK , so you will probably have to look in USA for parts but the shipping costs will kill yer . nice find though , well saved

Here’s what I’ve been doing through the winter months , almost finished , just a few bit of timber work to do and then varnish the wood. Its a replica of a 1910 model t Ford , built in 1958 , although there are a few different modifications and Addons but it’s a work in progress . I lined the cab area with new leather seats and oak trims , added a brooklands windscreen and also some old brassware, Just in the process of making the cover for the Briggs & Stratton engine which will be disguised by the wooden box on the back .

Cutting reel could have come in handy Chris

Funny how you fall into this hobby by accident Chris, my story was pretty much the same by starting with a commando 8 & knew nothing about them then started a bit of internet detective work to find out abit more about them it Turn out that there are a couple more people have the similar interest and I think it’s great watching the hobby grow to what it is today . It’s great to see some of the younger guys wanting a wheel horse as far too many youngens are too busy with their heads looking down into a phone and not seeing what’s going on around them . great hobby
