  1. Just out of interest what make and model do you have?
  2. I do also agree that the machine is pricey, however in the long run it is cheaper as you won't have to keep paying for gas, it may also stop the frustration and colourful language when getting a bolt off as it is more efficient. As Andrew said, hopefully it will get cheaper as it is a relatively new product in the market.
  3. Thing is, they only heat the area you want, not the surrounding area like with a torch.
  4. Has anyone ever had any experience with these, they are relatively new and use a magnetic field to create the heat. They look good as no flames are produced making it safer, also heating a bolt red hot it seconds They are pricey but look worth it if anyone has had any experience with these I would like to know your thoughts. There are a few videos online if you want to take a look, just search "heat induction tool" Harry
  5. Top job Norm, looks like it worked a treat
  6. Bolens parts being used to build a Wheelhorse
  7. All the best Chris, hope you had a good day
  8. I will get mine sent off this weekend, do we have to do one for each exhibit?
  9. Looks a very good show, more or less something of everything including a Massey Ferguson . Hopefully the weather will stay dryer for you guys today
  10. Maybe you should get a green and yellow tractor Joseph, different class to the bolens
  11. I have just had a look at the manual, it is quite basic and there are no diagrams of the transmission, it only tells me a few details about the speeds and fluids. Harry
  12. Not sure on this, but I think it it cou;d be a colt deluxe as has electric start, not sure if that was an option for the colt.
  13. Is it a colt or a colt deluxe as they would be slightly different. The colt deluxe is 10hp and has hi and low range, as compared to the colt which is only 7hp and no hi and low. I have an original manual for one with some details in, if you need pictures of that or the tractor let me know. However I have not taken one apart unlike Paul. Harry

    Any ideas.

Could be a honey extractor, just a guess
  15. Yes I think it is g4497 from what I can make out. And that looks like the same exact machine as mine with the yellow tape around the starting handle and missing the magneto cover.
  16. It was £100 which I didn't think was to bad. I also bought the 350 for £30
  17. Great find Chris, are you going to restore it? I restored mine about a year ago, they do come up nice, it looks like yours was originally cream?
  18. Looking good, be interesting to see what ploughs best, Wheelhorse or the Bolens
  19. At the moment just to get everything working on it and fix a couple of hydraulic leaks. It will be one for the collection
  20. Managed to have a good go today at it. First thing was to see if it turns over and it did which was a good result. Next thing was to get a spark and after a quick clean on the points the spark was present. Put it all back together and turned it over, it fired but did not continue to run, must be a fuel problem I thought. After a quick investigation my thoughts were true. Got that sorted and it runs Quick play around and realized the hydraulics were not working, there was no oil, after a hunt around I managed to find enough and the hydraulics were working once again. This meant it was time for another play, this time with the loader. Overall i am very pleased with it and the hydraulics are strong. Pumped up all the tyres and found out the tears are fluid filled😀. Then this happened which stopped progress, the new tyres are on order and should be here this week hopefully
