I picked this up recently. I think it is a simplicity serf 525. It is a very small tractor and looks quite cool. I'm not sure but I think it is 1969 and I think it has the original engine. Any help on identification would be appreciated. I will prob give it a light restoration some time as shouldn't take to long.

I am keeping my eye on that one as I am local!

You can get second hand parts but they are still quite pricey. You might be better off trying to find a second hand gearbox, also taking apart the hydrostatic transmission are not the easiest but can be done.

That looks really nice, definitely a head turner!!

Another update, all disassembled now, chassis is painted and most other bits. Done the transmission which was a pain as all greasy and very heavy! Sourced tyres and got wheels painted. Thanks to Chris for putting them on for me. Here's a few pics.

Looks good, there does seem to be quite a few collectors in the area.

I have got a high pressure steam gun, its not a pressure washer with water, only uses steam. Its brilliant at getting grease off and also takes paint off!

I saw that on ebay as well, i also thought it was a cub cadet.

Ok thanks, i will have a look tomorrow

I dont think the charging circuit has a fault because he said when using it it just stopped, and then took it apart and did not mention anything about the charging system. He did make a battery tray to fit on the back but i will return the battery to its original position, where should the horn be. I will also probaly give it a re-wire as everything is all over the place.

Does anybody know where I might be able to source the lift linkage for it.

I think Chris may of already bought the Bolens off me!

So here is my new addition to the fleet, a gutbrod 1030 with deck. The guy that I bought it off new nothing about it and just fancied buying something to fix. I also bought a Bolens husky 800 off him and a Brinly plow. Overall the tractor is in good original condition about from the paint, it has been painted in the past. It was not working when I bought it as he said it had an electrical fault. However I tested it this morning by putting back together what he had taken apart, fresh fuel and a battery and away it went. It goes through all the gears and mows well. This is my first gutbrod and I am really starting to like them, it is surprisingly fast as well.
I just wanted your opinion on what I should do, keep it as is or restore it, bearing in mind there are not many restored ones out there. Here are a few pictures...

Hi guys, I have three different wheelhorses for sale as need more funds for other projects and the space! I have a 417-A which is in all round very good condition and very low hours of 190.
Another one which is a raider 10 4 speed, does not run but does turn over directly from starter motor
And finally a small B-81 which i will get some pictures uploaded later, however this does not run either. please PM me if you are interested

Hi Adrian, I know you also sell spare parts for the tractors and also do a lot of importing, however I did buy a d200 wheel hub off you, however it still has not turned up. Just wondered if you had any news on it, I did request for a refund on PayPal.

I managed to get it running now, new plugs, cleaned points, new fuel line and that was it. Everything works as it should, even the lights and hydraulic deck lift.

I would love on of those tillers
