    Westwood

Hi Sam, welcome to MOM.. That's a clean Westwood you have, it looks to be in great shape Before I got into Wheel Horses I used to have Westwoods.. The first one was bought painted green, the second was Westwood orange, and the third was mostly rust coloured, I did plan to put a 900cc Honda engine in it but I couldn't bring myself to break the bike up!
  3. A great bunch of friend's there Mike, A fun time was had by all by the looks of it I hope you health get's better, just "don't go over doing it" as my Wife says to me often
  4. You keep finding all this cool stuff Andrew, when are you going to pass on the secret of how you do it?
  5. That's a great find Chris, but I can't help but think the front loader would look better on my GT-14
  6. It must be that time of year, my insurance renewal for the 6x6 came yesterday!... Guess I forgot to cancel it
  7. Thanks Norm.. I think I have worked out the steering now, but more on that when it happens Thanks guy's... Your fascination with dogs private parts is a bit worrying though Thanks Iain.. With both kingpin steering pivot thingys welded up (although in need of a little cosmetic grinding), the time had come to mount them to the front axle at an angle of 80 degrees A close up for ya all.. And at last Why Not is finally on all four wheels.. Yes the camber is a bit radical but that will be sorted when some nylock nuts arrive hopefully tomorrow. Of course now with Why Not rolling she had to be taken off the bench and wheel outside for a look at her on ground level.. But before those photo's a BIG to Nigel for helping all day yesterday to get Why Not on all fours.. Thanks Mate A few photo's taken in the great out doors And for your viewing pleasure a video

    BOLENS RIDEAMATIC

I saw lot's of cream paint hiding under the blue today, so I'd say it was cream originally.
  12. Have a drive and see how you feel about it then Chris.

    BOLENS RIDEAMATIC

Very nice, I can't wait to see it later this morning... Don't worry Andrew, I won't be measuring it up to see how big and engine could be made to fit
  14. That's a rather nice bike Simon, Mr Churchill sitting in Westerham looks to be approving as well P.S I moved this thread to the off topic section..
  15. Very interesting Mark, I might have to buy a kit when I have some spare funds.. Add a bit of bling to Why Not
  16. No Chance Tom, you know how much money I turned down for the GT.. Couldn't live without it
  17. A very nice haul Tom, had the reel mower been a bit wider I might of whisked it away to install on a Wh Sorry I couldn't make it to the workshop Saturday, it would of been cool to catch up with you again..
  18. The only trouble with reading your posts about my old 312 Tom is..... I'm now going to have to buy another one Glad your enjoying the old girl and finding her just as unstoppable as I did
  19. What a great bit of kit
  20. Me too Good progress has been made made today, both steel blocks have been bored out to take the lengths of steel that pivot in the rose joints.. Jumping slightly forward here as I forgot to take photo's of all the stages.. Both pivot thingys have been drilled and a thread tapped to keep the rose joints in position, and both pivot thingys were press fitted into the block.. a nice tight fit they were too You may of also noted from the above photo that the whole thing has been put in the lathe so I can cut a few tapers... If your wondering it span quite straight only a 1mm out of true.. Quite chuffed with that Stub axle installed, another tight pressure fit.. I still need to weld it all together, and yes the bearing will be coming off before the hot sparks fly.. I'm rather happy with how this front end lark is coming together
  21. You do know it won't make your Wh any faster don't you... Things such as gearing and the governor will limit it to it's normal top speed.. If it works you might get to 5mph a whole 0.00004 of a second faster than normal.. When NOS burns in an engine it produces oxygen which weakens the mixture.. To counter act that you also have to add extra fuel... It's the ability to burn the extra fuel that gives the extra power... NOS in a nutshell...
