Hi Koen, I expect shipping to your neck of the woods would cost more than the engine is worth!! But you never know..
Anyone any idea how much these K series Kohler's weigh?
-
That's a great find Kenny, we would love to follow your restoration so please keep us updated

Before you all get your hopes up, TD is not turbo diesel.. If it was I'd be keeping it
EDIT... I thought the engine said TD until I gave it a quick wipe with a cloth a few mins ago!! It actually says PT!! Sorry
Bought not running, the engine turns by hand fine.. The throttle butterfly in the carb is stuck and the pull start cord has broken off... Yes that's right, this engines pull start only!! Oh, it's painted gold from the factory!
I will get some photo's of it tomorrow as it's a bit dark to take any photo's of it now...
I'm only asking what I paid for i which is £30..

Hi all, the second engine I am selling is the original engine from my Wheel Horse GT-14..
I have had the engine running but for some reason it tends to run rather hot, smokes a bit and could do with a bit of work/rebuild..
One of the jets is missing from the carb (it's in the GT's new engine), but it does come with an electric PTO that does work!!
As it's tucked in the back of my shed and is hard to get too to take photo's, here's one of it as I was taking it out the GT.
The L shaped air filter manifold is no longer on it as I needed it to fit the new engine in the GT.
£50 ono due to it having a working electric PTO
A video of it running..

That's great news Max, happy for you mate

Hi Guy's and Girl's, The time has come to sell on a Kohler K321S engine that I bought a while back..
It is now missing the original fuel pump but I'm sure I've got a spare one to replace it..
It could do with a tune up bit I have had it running, it has got a new spark plug and air filter.
I'm asking £45 ono
Collection from Hawkhurst, Kent..

Good to see you have got started on this project Ben.
When did they start making Westwoods in green?

Welcome to MOM Rocboni, a couple of great helpful first posts

Thanks James, I hope my welding is better as I plan to weld the axle casing back together today
Speaking of which...
Both halves of the casing marked out for cutting..
Scribe lines top and bottom so I can line the halves back back up for welding..
Chopped Thanks Nigel for letting me loose with your metal slicing machine yesterday
-
While I was at Nigel's workshop today cutting my reliant axle up, this rather heavy machine was delivered!! It is rather nice
-
Fingers crossed for some snow this year.. Snowplowing is great fun
-
Thanks Norm, a long way to go yet and as I've set myself new higher levels it's going to take even longer... It will be worth it though
-
Count me in for Millbrook
-
Look like you and Denis had fun dismantling it mate.. I'm guessing oil everywhere judging by all the sawdust
-
Great video Max, though I had to wear a pair of shade to stop me being dazzled by the pink machine
-
Thanks for posting that Jim
-
Great photo's George, thanks for posting them
I've has a couple of try's at ploughing and I'm not good at all... But it's fun trying
-
Hi Iain Glad the started fitted and works ok Now take control and have a good drive yourself

With no more steel to hand to make any more of the frame (an order was put in today), I turned my thought to narrowing the rear axle.. Time to get serious and work out how narrow it needs to go.
So the chassis was welded to some bit's of box at the right height... This is the rear.. Did I mention I like MIG welding?
And once I was sure the chassis was central on the bench (I had drawn a big rectangle around the bench with a line right through the center), the bit's of box were firmly screwed down.. The chassis isn't going anywhere now
So out came the wheels, bit's of bodywork and the odd bit of wood for some mocking up.. Moving the rear wheel in and out, backward and forwards until I hit the "Grin spot".!
The "Grin spot" is when you know you have got it just right and a big grin breaks out on ones face quite often followed by some silly giggling
Once I'd had a coffee and calmed down a bit, out came the tripe measure followed by some scribbling and head scratching..
The standard width Reliant axle is 1288mm hub to hub..
I need one that's 780mm in width..
So I need to narrow it by 508mm or 254mm each side, or the bit between the masking tape need to be cut out!!
I won't be doing any cutting here though, Nigel has a powersaw thingy that's far more accurate than anything I have here.. So see you soon for some metal sawing Nigel
Oh, for me one of the best views of Why Not is from the front.. The trouble is there is not enough space to get a camera in to take the shot....
So I tried the Panarama setting on my phones camera... Not quite the result I was after
Thought I'd better add this as well... The latest Project "Why Not " video
Thanks Mark

Yet more work on the engine frame thingy, top mounts this time..
I did tack a couple of the top mounts on complete with bit of the bike frame attached.. I didn't like the look of it so the mounts came back off, lost their bit's of bike frame and were welded back on.. They will have some more strength added.
A bit of thick wall tube..
With a bung/spacer thingy welded in each end.
It fit's here on top of the engine..
To make space to get a long bolt through I had to notch and weld a bit of tube into the frame each side.
Part welded on to the frame.. The welds do look much better from the underside
And a couple of rare shots of the engine frame without the engine
-
A bit of an update for you all ladies and gents..
These two bits of small modern art were created...
So I could hold the filler plate in the end of the box for welding..
Plates welded in and some cross members added.. The holes in the box will be filled in when I'm sure I don't need them..
And another cross member above the carbs..
-
Thanks Norm.
I've managed to impress you mate? I must be doing something right
Thanks Ben, it's getting there slowly
HI Charlie, ta for watching the vid.. Yep I did say 100+mph in the vid but I won't be going for any speed record straight away..
I might be able to borrow a runway for a short while but it's not long enough to get above 50mph I wouldn't of thought... It's a long way off til Why Not is drivable anyway..
Hi Iain, I am using the original chassis, hood, bit's of body.. As much as I can really.. It would be nice to keep as much Wheel Horse as poss..
Santa pod is the first place that sprang to mind when I read what you said Nigel
-
Happy birthday mate, hope you have a good day
-
Come on Andrew, where's the photo's???
-
That's a great find Paul.. I saw something similar at Biddenden this year and just love how simple they are. Just a brush on an axle in a box
