Harvest time is not very far away, it's going to be an early one this year!
While I was digging though my photo's I found a few photo's of the monster Claas combine they use up here..  It's a beast to say the least.. Thought you might like to see it

Nash, Ladybird, ATCO, Mountfield...

dare i say kubota, cub cadet and bolens would be months ahead of the wheelhorse also

And Farmfitters, Landmaster, Cooper Stewart....

If you can find them, the annual price book issued by the Country Gentlemans Association of Letchworth, Herts, are always worth a read.
 
There's loads of horticultural machinery and items no Country Gent of the post war period could do without, some of the adverts have been copied for display purposes
with some of my machines.
 
I have annuals from 1952, 1964, 1965, 1966 and 1968, today a 1958 edition arrived courtesy of a seller on that well known auction website...
 
Has anyone else got any of these annuals ??

One of Steve ds exhibits was a Ransomes Rapier water pumping set powered by a JAP 2A engine and part of our joint JAP engines
display at the show
 
All was well until the Fairy Liquid Fairies got at it... lads we know who you are !!  
 
I also caught vegikev and vegi-junior feeding their faces yesterday !!

Same again next year then folks ??

Just got back from a great weekend at the Smallholders Show at Ardingly, the weather was pretty changeable and very wet over Friday
and Saturday  nights but we had a great turnout of exhibitors, a total of 72 exhibits over the two days  , a good gathering at our now
traditional Saturday evening BBQ and get together and I think everyone went home happy... Job Done

Pity it hasn't got a battery to power it...

Here you go then. Had a play today with them. Had to re ajust the cylinders. I will sharpen them up at some stage.
They are ok if you use them often before the grass gets too long or they clog up  Once I got the tractor going it ran ok for the job. Just as I took these pics it chucked it down!!
