i put the deck on andrews machine today only to find the front wheels kept hitting it , did all the adjustment bit, still did it, then i relised the front axle was moving back and fowards,it seems the holes in the bracket that hold the axle were a third bigger than they should be, so ive had to take it off and will have to lathe some top hats up tomorrow to take the play out :banghead:

I see you have carefully selected the best place to jack it up. The oil drain :o  :D

Looks a bit different to when I saw it last week.

Oh I did not tell you Andrew

Top hats = bushes shaped like top hats, Andrew. Just a small point on something I've noticed. The exhaust/silencer could do with some bbq paint.

got to leave some thing for Andrew to do norm

Suppose so, Nigel. Then he can say, "I did that". ;)

Absolutely! That's the really skilful part of the restoration which I could not trust Nigel to do. It require a steady hand and and a good eye........

Well I collected the Bolens late this afternoon after enduring a gruelling day drive through horrendous weather from Devon to Kent. Absolutely shattered and I have to say I am well pleased with the work on it too. I also collected the Huffy Broadlawn which I bought a while back.
