the showman 4,074 #1 Posted April 6, 2016 Got me Raider 12 back from Johns yesterday after its tour of duty at his place over the last few weeks. Decided to do a few jobs to it and the first thing was a front weight carrier made from some angle iron and an old mule drive so i can unclip it when not in use, i made it to take 2 weights but I think one will be enough. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. 4 ranger, slf-uk, diggerjames and 1 other reacted to this

Stormin 4,458 #17 Posted April 6, 2016 5 minutes ago, the showman said: How can i put points on tube You've got a lathe. Turn some inserts with a shoulder to butt against the pipe end and a point on one end. Then drill and pin them to stop them falling out. Simples! You'll also need some way to carry them. Stormin 4,458 #19 Posted April 6, 2016 Don't forget a spirit level. They need to be perfectly vertical to line up properly.

the showman 4,074 #22 Posted April 7, 2016 Had a go at changing the front wide wheels to narrow ones today. I found a pair of wheels at Johns with back plates and drums which im not using ( don't think the wheelhorse needs front brakes ) dont know what they were from but were painted a sort of air force blue. with a bit of machining in the lathe 2 sleeves were made and thick washers and a bit of drilling and tapping. heres how far ive got today. 3 nigel, Stormin and Alan reacted to this
