A rude awakening.

  Woken at 5am this morning to a loud thump .  On investigation I could just make out some bushes in the yard, 'tween house and workshop through the kitchen window. Funny! We didn't have any there yesterday.

  Further investigation, after getting dressed, showed it was not bushes but tree branches that had snapped off a larger limb. That was using the end of my house for support.

 

 

 

 

   This is the end off the tree.

 

And this is where it came from.

 

 Now maybe someone will see sense and do something about the rest of the tree.

 It gets better Mark. Got the tree off the roof bit by bit. I have some tiles left over from when we built the workshop. So just to make things water tight, used some to replace broken ones. While getting down off the roof onto the ladder Carol was holding, I missed my footing. Though I didn't fall, I took skin off my left elbow and kicked Carol in the face.   She escaped unharmed but I've pulled a muscle or ligament I my right leg.

Sorry to see that Norman, heart rot in the tree aided and abetted by ivy starvation.Looks as if the whole tree should be taken down.

Lucky the hole tree didn't come down, I assume you cut it into log size bits and gave it back

Here in the USA if the neighbors tree and or parts fell onto or glanced off any part of your abode there would be a lawsuit filed and the neighbors insurance company would be sued by the lawfirm of Hupy and Abraham. William Shatner  does tv commercials for them over here......... Do you have neck pain and headachs? That could get you a couple extra million..............

Somebody already did something about the tree, mother nature, now its up to you to put it out of its misery and into your woodshed. I would use my 116cc Homelite 2000 on it just to let the neighbours know I was around
