the showman 4,074 #1 Posted March 5, 2018 Looking through my literature today i found that its been 15 years this month that i bought my first Wheelhorse. I was looking for something to exhibit at rallys and saw a ride-on-mower advertised in the Friday Ad for £50, on viewing it I decided to buy it although it didn't have any makers name on it. After getting it home and a bit of fiddling i got it running and then discovered it was a 1969 Commando 7. Over the years I've had the odd one or two but this has to be special to me as it got me started with this hobby?. All my grandchildren have learned to drive on it and ive still got it sitting in the shed waiting for Dylan to grow a bit more. 10 Triumph66, Ian, squonk and 7 others reacted to this

neil 524 #7 Posted March 7, 2018 Funny how you fall into this hobby by accident Chris, my story was pretty much the same by starting with a commando 8 & knew nothing about them then started a bit of internet detective work to find out abit more about them it Turn out that there are a couple more people have the similar interest and I think it’s great watching the hobby grow to what it is today . It’s great to see some of the younger guys wanting a wheel horse as far too many youngens are too busy with their heads looking down into a phone and not seeing what’s going on around them . great hobby 3 pmackellow, Cub Cadet and the showman reacted to this
Stormin 4,458 #8 Posted March 7, 2018 Got my first Wheel Horse by accident while out walking the dogs. That was the C-125. Found Red Square and met shall we say the Showman, Meadowfield etc. From there friendships developed and more tractors procured. 2 the showman and pmackellow reacted to this

Yeah , well done Chris. like Ian, it's 10 years for me too. First ever sight of a WH for me was this in 2007- Took me a year to get my hands on it. 3 the showman, Alan and pmackellow reacted to this
Stormin 4,458 #11 Posted March 7, 2018 Seven years for me and my first is below. 1982 C-125 plus cutter deck. Paid £75 for it. Only thing done has been head gasket changed. I had to make a new top for the deck though. Mows green and verges from spring to autumn. Keep telling myself I'm going to do it up one day. Sweeper came later. 4 Cub Cadet, Alan, pmackellow and 1 other reacted to this

Stormin 4,458 #13 Posted March 8, 2018 Aww! Doesn't he look cute. Looks like we seem to have got infected within a few years of each other. Who was the carrier? 1 1 Cub Cadet and meadowfield reacted to this
