meadowfield 1,900 #1 Posted March 8, 2020 After 10 years of exclusive WH ownership, I’ve turned to the dark side. picked this up from the Essex coast the other night after a mammoth 11 hour round trip. it’s in average condition, not much rust. But has the scars of an engine transplant. It’s a tidy job, but they’ve chopped the hood and chassis... looking for a few bits: kohler k241 engine dunlop implement tyre 6-12 4 Stormin, CNew, pmackellow and 1 other reacted to this

Anglo Traction 1,016 #4 Posted March 8, 2020 No shame in going Yellow Mark!. Always liked these myself. Hope all's well. I think the giveaway in finding the right spec of K241 is the effort someone has gone to in shoehorning and chopping out to fit that engine. The correct spec is K241-a (not 241s) spec should be 46700d and used the delco remy starter gen. Then again I'm no expert, but the mating of the engine to the drive is the relevant bit. I suppose it depends if you're planning to put it back to close original?. Good to see some more build projects on here though. I'll check in more often. Regards. 1 meadowfield reacted to this
meadowfield 1,900 #5 Posted March 8, 2020 Keeping original would be good, but if a later k241 with starter will fit then happy with that. There’s a lot more to the older type, and getting a starter and regulator that work is tricky.
the showman 4,074 #6 Posted March 8, 2020 I think your find the regular 241 won't fit between the chassis rails, the As has a different block and sump
meadowfield 1,900 #7 Posted March 8, 2020 useful to know Chris, C4 has a 241AS...

Yep I understand that, but I think he said it had an old Honda engine in, and I thought I would have a lot of trouble finding the right engine for it, but as it happens the showmans got one for sale, I will look forward to the restoration of this one because ime sure you will do it to your normal very high standards and it will end up better than new.👍🏻 3 Triumph66, meadowfield and pmackellow reacted to this

meadowfield 1,900 #14 Posted March 16, 2020 It lives.... I thought the carb was a goner as it had so much black tar inside that I couldn’t get out. meadowfield 1,900 #15 Posted August 10, 2020 Been a while since I updated things... firstly new rubber! after getting the wheels powder coated I stuck a new set of 6-12 on. I couldn’t find another Dunlop ag tyre. Ewan fixed the hood... made a smart job, where it had been butchered then this happened. I made a three point for the back. then this 😀 the IH club helped me get the original number plate. Registered in Carlisle in 1964. I painted a plate in scale with the tractor. Not legal, but I’m hardly likely to drive it on the road... Still need to sort a trip darn south to see Chris and pick up that engine. Then I can think about adding hydraulic lift 😁 in the meantime I’m planning a pto on the back... 3 Alan, pmackellow and slf-uk reacted to this
