What lathe have you got?
Lauber1 reacted to Anglo Traction for a post in a topic
You have just got to find a use for that Chopper Engine Jeff !. Apart from the Myford (don't want to dupe my other Post/Thread here, I have a Tiny Plain Lathe with full accessories. Use it for Bushings and Model Steam fittings etc . Did use it initially to machine the front Wheel Rim Castings for my Engine. Rather untidy post , but here's a few old scanned photographs of the Micro Lathe and some other Myford machining shots :- ........sorry about the quality. I added a Used Light Milling Machine to my little workshop last Autumn (right of pic) , well worth it :- Reasonable size Table and will cope with my needs and Tools interchangeable with the Myford -

Gravely 814
Anglo Traction reacted to Charioux for a post in a topic
Hello Most of the Gravely tractors are two wheels tractors but they built four wheels tractors. The 400 serie between 1968 and 1972 and the 800, 8000, Pro series between 1972 and 2002, being little evolution of the first one You can see daughter Mary driving the 814 -

1 pointKarl, The place where the railway line has collapsed is in a small town in the South west UK called Dawlish which forms part of the historical Jurassic coast which is millions of years old & has fossils from the Jurassic period.http://www.itv.com/news/2014-02-05/huge-waves-damage-railway-line-in-dawlish/ Here is a picture of what it would normally look like & here are some picture of the recent storm damage

1 pointI use the sea foam in carbs that need a little help or in ones that had some stale gas from sitting around a few months. It will not replace a good cleaning on a plugged one, but might help keep one from getting worse. For long term storage or complete non use of an engine, I would say to use Sta-bil or something similar. It keeps the fuel from going south and turning into varnish. It will not however clean anything out of the system. Another way to keep a clean fuel system is to use a few oz's a gal of lacquer thinner. I use this type thinner to clean carbs with and it will absolutely remove all the junk and gum, even the paint off the outside.

1 pointThis is mine. Not set up yet. It's a ZYTO.
-
1 pointI use it for a fuel stabilizer. It does seem to keep the (already cleaned) carbs from getting clogged up as fast.
-
1 pointI've used it in my Onan 416. The tractor had been surging so I thought that I would try some Seafoam. I gently poured some into the carburetor and really didn't notice a difference so I ended up cleaning the carb on it which made it run a lot nicer. Then put some in the tank and after that tank, it ran like new again. Not sure if it was the cleaning or the sea foam, but it didn't do anything when pouring into the carb.
