    Poulan Chainsaw

Fuel tubing and filter arrived and now fitted. Sorted the Flywheel Balance issue out by making a brass boss with the same taper. push fit on a 3/16" dia Silver Steel rod. With the Flywheel fitted on the Rod, it can be placed on two 3/8" dia rods resting on Vee Blocks- Sure enough, it showed out of balance with the broken fan blade. Progressively added weight until balanced, then weighed the required additional weight....just under 1 gram. Fortunately, I found a 2 BA screw would fit in an existing hole near the broken fin it was also near tapping as well. Screwed in tight, but some Loctite was added to be sure A few minute adjustments and it's pretty well balanced now, so all bolted back on. Have a really strong spark at the Plug with very little pulling effort. Should be running next week.

    1st spring plowing

Wow, I would have thought it a required British thing to be able to plow. You guys always kick butt in the world matches. I have a little over a 1/3 acre here at the house, that is the test ground and garden. If I want to plow a bigger field I have to drive 12mls down to the farm, where I can do any part of the 500 acres at that site. I usually goes there and plow up an acre, with the walkers. You haven't lived until you have plow a straight 1/2 ml forrow, and then have to turn around and come back. The ground down there is a heavier clay that mine, so I works you a lot more. I can plow here until about July, then the dirt turns more into concrete, than plowable stuff. Couple yrs ago I drove down to KY(500mls) and plow against some riders, with my Mighty Man walker. We don't have any plow matches here, its mostly guys with bigger yard tractors, that just plow whole fields. Not sure they would do very good if they had to plow with a set of rules. Oh and im sorry I spelled it wrong, as I know it should be "plough".

I always use to park somewhere sensible when doing chores in the garden. Now it seems to be a challenge to park silly

    What lathe have you got?

They've been around for some time. Made by Tyzack of L.ondon (I used to work with the Grandson of the Founder). Here's some info and story for them if your not already aware. http://www.lathes.co.uk/zyto/
