    Tractor World 2015

A good show to start the rally season, Tractor World at the Three Counties Showground at Malvern had a good line up of tractors and a well supported Horticultural section In the Horticultural pedestrian machine class the Mackellow and Wakefield entries cleared the board with Jimbos ATCO machines coming first and third with our Jobber display in second place I will update with the other class results when I get the information, meanwhile here's some photos from Friday (setup day) including some of the entries in the auction...

    Bolens G14

The walbro carbs on the G and H OHV valve engines can be very stubborn to get right. It has to do with the seat that goes up from the bottom of the bowl screw. That seat wasn't made large enough and has problems with clogging. A very fine wire can be used to remove blockage, but NOTHING else will work, not seafoam, chemtool, air, nothing, I've tried. The symptoms of the carb problem is that it refuses to idle, but will run at full throttle, when you try to lower the throttle the governor starts hunting and the engine dies. One of the guys over at GTTalk sells a updated version of the seat with more room, but once cleaned they tend to be okay as long as they don't set for long periods of time or petrol goes bad as month old milk. Attached is the part the guy at GTTalk sells, I'm sure OB probably knows him or can find out, it is the emulsion tube that easily stops up

    Ploughing and ploughs 2015

Hi old Buzzard The ground should have been ploughed in October to give the frost a chance to break up the clods but as the people did not buy the place until this year it means the ground is a bit wetter but makes for a good trial, Thanks George S

    Westwood Gazelle

I did a little tidying up on the Westwood today, cleaned most of the engine and painted a few bits including some high-temp paint on the exhaust When I get a chance I have a nice new switch for the lights, which I'll wire up. And I need a new seat, but I'm holding out for a seat exactly the same as the current one and they seem quite rare in good condition

What if you could find someone to collect 5 plows then ship them all at once, would that be cost effective?
