Hello all, Today was the Sussex meet and greet, But sadly relying on my dad to taxi me everywhere as I haven't booked in for my test yet is proving to be a bit of a pain, I wanted to attend the meet and greet event as it would of been nice to see some friendly faces and some great pieces of machinery, and I heard they have a mean breakfast there too but hey I'm sure there will be another time! Anyway my dad was rather set minded when he told me he couldn't take me to the meet and greet as he wanted to go to the local car boot sale, (first of the season apparently that's something to get excited about) He did pop into the bring buy and sell and the hassocks garden center, which wasn't too bad also got a little bit there. I wasn't too Impressed to say the least, however these few purchases made it a good day,... This tap and die set with lots of pieces and the tool box was from the car boot sale for £5 for the lot, I may never use it but I couldn't turn it down The two pullers where 50p each from the bring buy and sale and the grease gun was only 50p as well. I was well chuffed -

1 pointNope, the guy didn't call me or answer his phone. I looked at my records, I sold this guy two Bolens QT17 rollers (no engines) two years ago this April, two days later I went to his house and made a DEAL with him to buy his old H14 for 475 ( he now says it was 500, I said no problem), he has not only avoided me, but avoided a friend of mine I sent to try to buy the tractor for me, no luck. The guy is not going to sell me or anyone else the tractor or anything else, even after we had a deal. Here is where I usually go into a parenting/ancestry discussion, not going to go there. The sad part is that the guy has had health issues for years and trying to maintain several hundred acres, plus several acres of auction junk has taken a toll on his health. He does not seem to realize that he cannot take it with him nor that much of what he has/had could be saved if it was sold to people that wouldn't let it deteriorate just for the pride of ownership. We have lots like him around here, those that don't take care of new or old equipment because they never mentally developed into complete and whole human beings. I'm not trying to be judgmental, just observations of Jung, Alder, Erickson, and Allport

V twin roll up machine, perfect for you and Ian -
1 pointCertainly good buys Charlie. The very first grease gun I bought at 21 and which I still have, is the same as the one you've bought. About the same price as well.

1 pointToday has been the Hethersgill Vintage Club annual ploughing match. The weather was ideal, with sunshine all day, though a cold frosty start, I was there in my usual capacity of, gateman, entrants and spectator vehicle parking and chief dogs body. I did get chance to take some photo's. And the real stars.
