    New Tractor Workshop

My main garage is about 5 miles away from where i live but you cant really nip up to it for twenty minutes work while your waiting for your dinner, so i decided to clear out one of my old pig houses which was a job on its own and use that as a lawnmower workshop. Its amazing how much junk you can gather up in a short time. Sorry about the photo quality of the photos, very dim lights and mobile phones just dont seem to go together very well. First job was to lower the celing height and put up some foil backed insulation board,it should make it a bit easier to heat in the winter and cooler in the summer. Also need to wire up new wall sockets and decent lights. Will stick up some more photos when i get a bit more done. Noel.

If it gets as full as John's shed and barn, there won't be room for a kettle never mind a wood burner.

    Gilson / Montgomery Ward

Would anyone have any information on these tractors or what the parts availabilty would be, we think we have found one. My mate an myself went to see an "old garden tractor" this evening but when we got there the lights in the shed wouldn't work so ended up stumbleing about in the dark with only our mobile phones to see where we were going. The only name we can see is "American" on the bonnet everything else seems to be painted over. Of course i forgot to take photos but what we could see it might be a Squire 12. Any info would be very helpfull, Noel.

    Gilson / Montgomery Ward

I bought a Montgomery Ward Squire 10 earlier this year but sold it due to logistical complications. A pity as it was all original and running. Alain is a source of great info on these tractors. Here's a photo of the one that got away..... Look forward to more updates on your discovery. Edit: if you look in the post 'Now for something different' it's all about the MW.

    Been waiting for a letter

If he's a fit pigeon he should be capable of 50 mph, if he's an older bird that might drop to 40 or even 30 depending on the weight of the package. At the moment we have 32 mph winds from the south west, so I think he's hiding in someones loft somewhere up north
