I told him he would have got more ploughing time in, if he hadn't spent so much time feeding his face.

With all that food, who had time to plow?

I also reckon it's 81-10k801. 1978 C-101. Scheduled build date was Thursday 18th May going by the Julian date. May only have a 3amp Alternator for Battery charging, as no lights fitted as optional extra?. May be lucky if 15amp Alt fitted. Original Muffler, if not perforated is a bonus. 8 speed trans should be 103916 8 pinion Diff and should have the larger Woodruff Keys in the Axles. Should be salvageable with some TLC. Well done. Edit- correct day entered.

    Wheel Horse Lawn Sweeper.

The rear castor's plastic rollers were starting to show their age. So I decided to make two new ones. A nice piece of oak was cadged of a joiner friend and rollers turned up in the lathe. I think they should last a while.

    A VERY OLD LATHE.

And if you think that's bad, you should see the inside.

    My other red machine..

My little "red nose" .. Recovered from a field in Bremen Germany where it worked all its years... Used 90% plus of the original parts on the build part of which was done in Germany then part reworked by me in the UK when I brought it over... 1958 so it's a very early 108L Junior, single cylinder, air cooled Porsche tractor.. Just good fun but could still work all day without a problem...

Morning all, well the point of starting MadTrax up and testing the runnning gear on the bench isn't far off.. Time is still lacking but I have made a good start on the transfer box to from diff drive/prop shafts. I've not taken many photo's and even less video footage as I just wanted to get bit's done while I had the time. Holding a small shaft in place to measure up and work things out was a right pain until I quickly made this "bit of tube welded to box" which holds the shaft in the right place. The shaft to the front has been extended and made a slightly bigger diameter to fit the new UJ.. I've not welded the shaft up yet just in case any adjustment is needed. Here's one of the bearing brackets I made up.. Think it's going to need a lot of trimming now everything is a lot closer to the engine..
