Great photo's. I'd like the half track. A real beast.
-
You can be a proper, (nearly), Showman now, Chris. Tow two trailers at the same time.
-
Does that trailer load include the trailer? The way your going your name will change to Steptoe.
-
Happy birthday Mark. A the best.
-
Well done with the reel, Richard. And those caps look the business painted silver.
-
It is indeed from the early 60's. Also I got the Major's age wrong. That's '56. It's me age.
-
Managed to get a bit of workshop time today and got some bit jobs done on the Black Horse.
(1) Clutch pedal rod adjuster nut freed off. Pedal doesn't need pressing as far forward now.
(2) Slight play in right rear hub taken out. About 6 thou difference in hub bore and drive shaft diam. Sorted by use of hammer and centre punch to inside of hub. Crude but effective. Nice and tight now.
(3) New gaiter fitted to bottom of gear lever.
(4) Stop made and fitted to prevent brake pedal from coming to far back.
(5) Is on going. Cleaning up a pair of scooter split rim wheels I got at Newby Hall. These are just right for fitting to the front with tri ribs on. Goodness knows what they've been painted with, but it's like concrete.
Ready to paint now, after some filler is applied to the rather corroded insides.
(6) Started to clean up the front tachomatic.
BTW. The little tool box, along with a second, is an MF item.

1930's does seem a bit early. I'll see if I can find a ID plate sometime.
-
Not fair. I want one. To fit one of the Wheel Horses though.
-
'Ow do Mark.
Can't help you with any info, but look forward to photo's and rebuild reports.
-
Koen asked about the International digger, I think is 1930 something, that's at one of the farms. So here it is. Still in use with bale spike attached.
While there I took a photo of the now retired combine harvester. A contractor is used now.
-
Not special needs I hope?
-
Where abouts in North York's are you, Colin? I've an 11hp Briggs sitting in my workshop surplus to requirements.
-
It's at the other farm, Koen. I'll see if I can get a photo or two if I get chance.

There's two 4 wheel drive MF's, Both from the 80's, a 265 from the late 70's and two little 35's from the 60's. None bought new and all workers.
There's also a 1936 Fordson Major. That's the first tractor my farmer friends late father bought. That still does it's bit driving the saw bench.
There's also an old, I think 1930's, International digger with two in one front bucket and back actor. A 4yr old Kramer telehandler is the latest addition.

It is a Case CS, Koen. We borrow it every year at silage time and it's very pleased to see me. Great little tractor to drive, but unfortunately the owner, who got it new, doesn't look after it. Only time it gets cleaned inside and out with any servicing, is when I've been for it.
All the farms tractors are Massey Fergusons.
-
The same goes for me Alain.
-
-
You could sell them to Nigel. He could do with a smaller set.
-
That's handy. Wonder what it fitted?
-
What I've been playing with for the last couple of days. And a few more days to come.
-
I see Pam got a wheel barrow.
