I got a second coat of primer on the fender and underneath of foot plates late yesterday. This afternoon, though not the best of days for painting, (rather cold), gave them a first top coat. I'm using Tor tractor enamel, applied with a foam radiator roller. Apologies for poor photo quality. First two without flash. Third with flash. When dry the fender will get a light rub down before second coat. To be honest, I'm wondering what possessed me to use black. It don't half show up imperfections.

A bit more this morning. First coat on underside of fender. Not the best of photo's. Foot plates cleaned up this morning then underneath primed with red oxide. And a bit of bling..

Looking nice, George. We've a match a week on Sunday, just outside Carlisle. No horticultural machines though, mores the pity. One day maybe.

Good job. That pipe is the same as I used for the sleeves for the trans mod.

No problem interrupting, Richard. It's all in put and ideas.. Mine wouldn't polish up fully either, due to pitting in places. So I've got out of that one.
