  1. Belated birthday greeting, Karl.
  2. Either of the three wheelers for me. Morgan or Lomax. I don't care which.
  3. Just a point, Neil. Where'd the croc' in the first photo' go? You need to find it with toddlers and dogs about.
  4. Frame black. Weights red.
  5. Lovely job, Neil. The Shell petrol can is a nice touch.
  6. That looks a big beast, Alain.
  7. Here are some photo's I managed to find time to take. Auction items. Cars. All the way from Kansas complete with bullet holes in the passenger door. Motorcycles. Truck. Horticultural. Stationary engine. Restoration project anyone? That's all folks.
  8. Nice set of mowers. What make are they?
  9. It was a great day and thanks to you lads for coming. Not forgetting Tam Tweedie (Ransomes Plooman) who got me tipsy in the beer tent. It was the best display of horticultural exhibits for a few years. I have a few photo's of my own to put up, but not had chance yet. Been over to the airport today to help finish clearing up. One day show. Five days work.
  10. Only TWO TEA TICKETS? They'll not last you five minutes.
  11. Sounds a possibility, Dave. I'll have an entry form off you at the weekend.
  12. Weather forecast looking. Fine and dry if a little breezy. 500 entries so far.
  13. So I can sleep all afternoon in preparation for my short drive home.
  14. Just a heads up. Late entries do get accepted. Just won't be in the catalogue.
  15. If anyone else would like to enter, we've never been known to turn anyone away. Just that late entries will not be in the catalogue.
  16. The double pulley measures approx. 4" and 3". The spindle pulleys are 3". I'll let the mathematicion's amongst us work out the R.P.M. Change the double over and the 4" is now below and clears the tensioner bar. Had to do one or two adjustments when I mounted it on the C-125. I fitted the p.t.o. to deck belt I used on the rear discharge. It is rather tight and would only fit the smaller p.t.o. pulley. So testing time. Started the tractor in the yard, engaged the deck and all was fine. Out on to the green and I'm happy to say I'm well pleased with it. Cut better than the RD, but that is not really surprising as the RD blades are well past their sell by date. I did find the drive belt twisted and I think that was due to it running on the outer p.t.o. pulley. I'll get another belt a couple of inches longer. When I'd finished cutting the green and verges, I was also pleased to see that not much cleaning of deck and tractor was required. The RD covered the rear of the tractor with cuttings. So some photo's of green and verges when finished.
  17. Just done some investigation. The centre pulley is that way up on my rear discharge deck. Large diameter at top and smaller at bottom. I've also had a look at some of the manuals on RS. They all seem to show the same. Large top, small bottom. (Behave yourselves now. ) Now someone has been the SD deck before. So did they fit the pulley upside down? If so why? Just looking by rack of eye, if the large diameter pulley is at the bottom, it will be very close to the tensioner bar. As in very, very close. I'll change it round tomorrow and see what transpires.
  18. DOH! Who's a dipstick? Photo's are for reference aren't they. Still the man who never made a mistake never made anything. Thanks Richard.
  19. Memo to self. Engage brain before posting. The cutter drive belt isn't the problem is it. It's the p.t.o. to deck. Having to many senior moments.
  20. Today, doing a bit of tiding up on the workshop bench, I came across an idler pulley with kaput bearing. I realised then why the belt was too short. The pulley was off the cutter drive belt tensioner. I'd replaced it with one I found among bits I'd saved of a Husqvarna I'd broken. That is a slightly bigger diameter to the one on the bench. No wonder the belt wouldn't fit.
  21. Mounted it on the C-125 this morning. Not to happy with the way it sits, but hopefully a bit of adjustment, plus trial and error, I can get it better. I was going to see how it performed, but the p.t.o to deck belt I use for the rear discharge is about 1 to 1-1/2 inch to short.
  22. I very much doubt any worms will have survived the soaking I gave them.
  23. Alan, you asked about the two man saw from Johns place. Here it is in its new home. And this is what Carol does with old stock garden pots we got from a local garden centre. After your truly has cleaned and given them two coats of Sandtex smooth white.
