I was wondering what that was. Mind, with the way those Smiths knock back the pop, they'll get more in a sack when they weigh them in.
-
Looks a good turn out, Paul. Thanks for the photo's.
-
Grey/blue smoke is a sign of burning oil. Maybe over reving. Replace that spring.
-
If the smoke is black, it's a tad rich at full revs.
-
Wish I could have made it now. Maybe next year.
-
Got a couple of young lads on here. Ewan (Cub Cadet) and Harryt. Good to have another.
BTW. Where are you located?

I would say, if fuel is running out of the filter ok, then up to there is ok. Try it without the filter and see what happens. If no result the problem is not the filter. So it will be carb next.
-
That's why I suggested checking the tank and fuel line, to make sure fuel is getting to the carb before pulling the carb to bits.
-
You've made a really good job of that bonnet, Elliot. Well done.
As Paul says, get in touch with Titch.
-
Have you had a look in the tank? May be debris in the bottom blocking the outlet. Is the fuel line clear and not kinked or trapped some where? Try blowing back up the fuel line to the tank and see what happens.
-
Lovely job of the spike, Richard.
-
Sandals, Richard. As I said to a young, snotty H&S bod one day at work, as he tried to tell me what I should and should not do. "I can and always will, be able to count to twenty one."
-
Big red van.
He hasn't got any now. He recently sold those he had.

Mowed the green etc yesterday and the deck was rather noisy and vibrating somewhat. Today I removed it and found the blade on the discharge end was loose. I'm sure I'd tightened the nut fully, with threadlocker on when assembling. Maybe not?
Anyway, the blade had worn a groove in the spindle, though the blade it's self was ok. After a bit of thinking, I decided to see if I could make a temporary, permanent even, repair. So out with the spindle.
In my tool cabinet I had some Unibond Power Epoxy. Sort of metal replacing adhesive. Worth a try I thought. Filled in the worn part of the spindle and waited for the epoxy to harden. Then turned it down in the lathe until the blade was a tightish fit. Re-assembled and made sure the nut holding the blade was good and tight.
I'll put the deck back on the C-125 tomorrow and see how things go. It has two choices.
Meanwhile the spindle dimensions have been forwarded to that Wheel Horse hoarder in Peacehaven.

Not sure what you mean by resistor or non resistor. I'd get the Champion J19LM or NGK B2LM.
-
No matter the car, put an idiot behind the wheel and he'll find some way to turn it over.

I did think about sending my agent down to bid, Alain. But decided against it. It would have to stay outside as the workshop is full of garden tractors and other associated implements.
-
I know some people say you should leave the leaves to fully wilt, Angus. But if they are left they leave a big brown patch. I've been cutting them down for years and they still come up ok.
-
Number 1 grandson, his father and uncle have all grown beards. I decided to show them how to make a proper job of it, as I had a beard some 30yrs ago. Though it was a slightly different colour then.
-
Tonight I decided to discomboomerate the dead daffodils on the green. So out with the C-81 and finger bar.
-
The roll pin is hardened spring steel. See if you can get hold of some cobalt tipped drills. From the photo it does look like a broken set screw. Should drill out easy enough.
-
Well done both of you. And all the others of course. Carols mother had Parkinson's, so that charity and the one for alzheimers, which my father had, are the main ones for us.
