squonk reacted to neil in Model T Ford , go cart
Here’s what I’ve been doing through the winter months , almost finished , just a few bit of timber work to do and then varnish the wood.
Its a replica of a 1910 model t Ford , built in 1958 , although there are a few different modifications and Addons but it’s a work in progress .
I lined the cab area with new leather seats and oak trims , added a brooklands windscreen and also some old brassware, Just in the process of making the cover for the Briggs & Stratton engine which will be disguised by the wooden box on the back .

squonk reacted to the showman in Toro The Sequel
While i was sorting out the first GMT I thought it would be silly not to have the other one.
Its new and never been used but hasn't got the collector kit and deck with it, it was stored in a shed with a leaky roof and had the transmission pump removed to keep the other one going,
After a few weeks of fiddling with the pump ive managed to repair it and fit it back in the tractor and its now up and running.
Concidering its been stored since 1986 it's not to bad.

squonk reacted to the showman in 15 Years Ago This Month
Looking through my literature today i found that its been 15 years this month that i bought my first Wheelhorse.
I was looking for something to exhibit at rallys and saw a ride-on-mower advertised in the Friday Ad for £50, on viewing it I decided to buy it although it didn't have any makers name on it.
After getting it home and a bit of fiddling i got it running and then discovered it was a 1969 Commando 7.
Over the years I've had the odd one or two but this has to be special to me as it got me started with this hobby?.
All my grandchildren have learned to drive on it and ive still got it sitting in the shed waiting for Dylan to grow a bit more.
