  1. I tend to agree, I think I like symmetry when there is a bird decal.
  2. Very Nice! Thank you for drafting up the dimensions - I’ll get these over to Titch. Do you think these same dimensions apply to the red version of this decal? It looks like the red one has a larger red border. How much interest is there in the Paul Bunyan decal? I think Titch already did that one before.
  3. I’ve been searching around and I can’t tell if the decals on the Chip-a-Saw recoil cover should be oriented in the normal vertical direction or tilted like the Orline Mustang saws where they’re turned slightly to compensate for the tilt of the engine when mounted in the saw. Is there a consensus?
  4. That’s great, looks like Webhead is first in line. I don’t know how he does it... If he passes I’m definitely interested. I’m sure Webhead will reach out to you shortly but if you want to send him a note you can click on his name next to his picture and it will take you to his profile where you can send a Private Message (PM).
  5. I sent Titch some of the photos, just need the dimensions and he can put together an estimate for us. I personally like the little Chip-a-Saw decal best.
  6. That’s a beauty, you won’t have any trouble selling it on here - there are at least 4 of us ready to fight over it
  7. Thanks JustO&R! I found one spring this afternoon so all I need is 1. PM me what you want for it and a muffler bolt, only if you have a spare you can part with. If not, no worries I’ll keep hunting...
  8. I could use some help identifying the proper screw part for a Tiny Tiger, the model that has the larger gas tank and square side mounted muffler. I’m looking for the screw hook that attaches the muffler box to the exhaust collector. If someone has the part number and a photo it would be much appreciated. I’m guessing I’m going to just have to make my own out of small diameter All-thread... I’m also missing the little spring clip that holds the lever arm in the carburetor. Missing one for this generator and the Lancaster saw. Has anyone tried to make one of these? It looks to be a pretty thin gauge spring steel material.
  9. That turned out fantastic, very nice refresh! I have one of those saws and it also needs a complete overhaul amen cleaning. It’s always inspiring to see these projects.
  10. That’s awesome, we will likely never see another one that is NOS like that! Can’t believe you also have the box and paperwork, very cool!
  11. That’s a beautiful restoration! I have a version like that one but I haven’t gotten around to cleaning it up yet. It’s definitely a little easier for finding some of the non engine parts since they’re the same as the Orline Mustang saws.
  12. Exactly, that’s likely what I will do in this case. I am curious to tinker with some ideas like John proposed just to see if we can find something that will work. Yes, I do have my work cut out! I’ll send a few links your way as I stumble across stuff.
  13. I’ve probably got a couple of those tip seals laying around from all my Kohler K241 and K90 rebuilds.... hard part is cutting it to size and somehow attaching it Tom the little lever arm, not sure if glue could take the abuse.
  14. I’ll do a search. Thank you for the heads-up on the throttle cable. I’ll take a look at it tomorrow and see if it’s salvageable but it looked like it was snapped off. I’ll let you know, happy to buy one from you.
  15. Add a photo, would like to see your restored one and the other one too.
  16. Not exact but maybe something like this might work https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-John-Deere-12-Chainsaw-Oil-Pump-Oiler-Spring/254191943016?hash=item3b2f053d68:g:Uk0AAOSwD39acVjz
  17. Landed a pretty cool Lancaster 15SLA chainsaw. Just opened it up tonight so I haven’t been able to dig into it in great detail yet. After a quick wipe down and initial scan it looks like the carburetor needs a complete overhaul. It had been removed and dismantled. Unfortunately it is the style with the little rubber plunger arm and that is missing It’s also missing the carb lever arm spring. Looks like the throttle cable is also broken where it goes into the handle, I won’t know the extent of it until I open it up. Other than those obvious issues and a couple misc. screws it looks to be in really nice shape, the paint is nice and bright and only worn in a few places. The starter pull handle is also kind of neat. It resembles the 13B handle but has a much nicer taper and is smaller. At first I thought someone might have put a 13B handle on there in place of the little wooden ball but I’m convinced this is the original handle. I saw another chainsaw like this online that had the same style handle as mine. The air cleaner is also kind of neat and attaches with a 90 rubber elbow/boot.
  18. Thought you all might appreciate this cool photo from 1967 of a guy tapping a Maple tree with a Drillgine.
  19. Cool, yeah definitely let me know. Somehow I didn’t see any other versions when I bought the 3.25” set. I just checked the website again and found the 3” set, bummed I didn’t see that before. I’ll be curious if that’s smaller decal is small enough for the recoil.
  20. Sounds good, I’ll definitely let everyone know what the cost estimates look like.
  21. Ok, cool - do you have any luck having anyone respond about scaling it down for the recoil cover?
  22. Thanks for all the images. What are the dimensions and then I can try to get this info to Titch for evaluation.
  23. Man thats looking really nice! I’m with you, I don’t plan to paint everything on mine either, looks so much better having the normal engine parts not painted. Nice job removing the original decal! Do you still need/want one of the decals for the chain cover side?
