The only trouble with mine is I bought it to fit to one of my BCS but the pto coupling is the wrong size, if I ever get any spare time I may try & attach it to a Wheelhorse
-
I bought one from the machinery sale for £50.00p A 2 stage one. :P

That piece of angle looks familiar

With the floods last year it could be the main roads they are crossing!

Loctite 598 flange sealant in a big tube is good for this type of joint Mark, I may have some you can try. It's not Silicone based. When you used the Hylomar,dd you apply to ALL
surfaces and allow to dry, like you would "Evostick" before assembling, that's the only way I could get my Sunbeam engine oil tight in the past.

No more at home Norm, but I think I,m in the workshop until Christmas, if the skip hasn't been emptied I'll see what I can find
-
No Mark, Your not counted as one of them, the difference is, I know I will see the items again, attached to one of your projects, If the "dear brothers" took them I'd have to visit the local scrapyard for a reunion
apologies for going off topic in an "off topic" post.

A Wheelhorse Snowmobile ? just in case

I notice You're still alive Mark, You must have sneaked Your 'goodies' in unobserved, You could do with a van like "the showman"

'Pop Up' garage for a Wheelhorse ?

Yes, but you don't know who's listening

Lovely job there Norm .
I wonder if anyone has tried 6908 bearings which are 40mm x 62mm x 12mm which would indicate no case machining required, just thin sleeves for o/d & i/d, & maybe a thin shim for axial positioning. I wonder if they would be man enough for the job. It would certainly appear a lot less hassle ( & expense ) than machining the cases or diff.
If they would work OK, there could be a "nice little earner" for someone with a lathe making & selling kits of sleeves & shims,(Ian, Mark, Richard)? :D
Doug.

Looking good, at least nothing broken.
-
I'll have a measure up Sunday I think I have some at home, Off to Heathrow Saturday, broken down runway sweepers.
-
What size ram are you looking for Mark? We use various short cylinders on our machines for hydro-pneumatic suspension,4/w/steering etc there are usually some in the skip.

Hi Nigel
The layout looks pretty similar, if you remove the end cap with the knob on I would think you should see the end of the piston, maybe it has seized in the bore -water in the oil- and the `clunk' is the play between the pushrod and the piston

With that exhaust pointing where it does your passengers will have the benefit of warm air heating :D

Base for a mini front end loader or a micro back hoe (with Toro/wheelhorse decals of course)

Hi Tom
Books available from many sources, you could try `Chronos' at Dunstable, they have many reprints of older engineering books in stock as well as any materials and tooling you could wish for.All laid out on benches for you perusal. You can find them on a certain auction site or thier website. They are a mile or so just off the M1 junction 11 Luton-Dunstable road, towards Dunstable.
They have an industrial unit which is a veritable `Alladins cave' I can spend hours wandering around inside if I'm in the area.
regards Doug.
