  1. Chris, might be interested in these possibly for my Bolens Lawn Keeper if compatible.... Hopefully will find out soon. Can't remember if it was a Clinton or a Lauson engine in there originally!?!
  2. Nice machine Alain. Here's a tip for you. Use hard/ dry branches in between using green branches to aid ease of chipping. Hopefully will work a tad easier for you.

  10. Nice looking machine and I think you are right it is more user friendly than an Allen. i am intrigued by your volunteers? Who are they and where is the glade?

  12. You are right Norm about Teagle being Cornish. I know a Tommy Teagle at Lanhydrock in Bodmin. Good machines but a tad heavy for continuous use. Look forward to seeing some photos of the beast.
  13. Welcome to MOM. I know Hooe very well as I come from Bexhill originally. The Red Lion was my local all those years ago and my brother lived in Sampson Cottage I think back in the 90s near the garage on the bend. Can't help you on the WH I am afraid. Cheers Andrew

Hats off to you Alain; a good find.
  17. I have yet to be scammed on eBay but I feel that it won't be long before someone try it. I have had a lot of time wasters though asking questions etc & never getting back to me.
  18. Great collection of GTs. It goes without saying that the Bolens are my favourite Alain .
  19. Great photos Mark and I like the shot of the WH with the roller on the back amongst the trees.
  20. Ouch! As one of Harry Enfield's spoof character would say 'I don't believe you wanted to that!'
  21. A fascinating brochure Alain; cheers for posting. I particularly like the HT23 one.
  22. That's a shame. I remember that building as well. Why was it demolished?
  23. Ah right. My late Grandfather was a member of the Buchanan Clan apparently according to my mother.
  24. Good ploughing standards by the look of it. I don't recognise the Tartan on the kilt? Be interested to know what it is.

    Bolens 1050

Been reading around the subject on various posts on GTT Alain and I agree with what you say as I always take the view that if a job is worth doing then do it right the first time especially as the engine will have to be taken out and dismantled so logically I would look at doing the valves con rod etc... The key thing is that the engine 'runs' and got compression so I am happy with that for the time being. I am thinking of attending an evening class on basic engineering skills such as valve lapping etc as I would like to extend my knowledge. I think you can actually take your own engine with you to work on.
