HeadExam reacted to expeatfarmer in Good Wood Revival Settrington Cup
Built in Wales as a means of employing injured ex miners. They made the J40 cars on the film and also a single seater racer known as the Pathfinder these are very rare and make £4-5000 when restored.

HeadExam got a reaction from Triumph66 in Another Chainsaw Restoration
Thank you! There were at least 3 and probably 4 colors on the blue saws. Early XL--12s and Super XLs, then later XL-12s. Super XLs, XL-700, XL-901, 150s, XL-101 and XL-102s were slightly darker. Then later on there was a Super XL Special Edition and Old Blue that were different from one another as well. There are two Pontiac, blues when mixed match the late 60s blue saws, but you need to use one in none metallic finish to match it perfect. I have worked with colors for over 30 years.

HeadExam got a reaction from Anglo Traction in Another Chainsaw Restoration
This is a XL-102 Automatic, its a 1970 saw weighing 11 pounds and has 57cc with auto oiler and manual over ride. These were only made in 1970 and 1971 I have one from both years. I couldn't get NOS decals so I had to do the best I could. Still need to install the carb and find a appropriate spot on the shelf. Last picture is what the saw looked like before

Built by ex miners I believe. Worth a few bobs now.

HeadExam reacted to slf-uk in Another Bolens for the collection
We did some work to get the tyre changer working and it is proving to be a very useful tool. When time allows it will have a full rebuild and I think I may be able to make an adaptor so I can use it with small front tyres.

Maybe a makeover is in order, stylish new clothes, a facial and hair color, you actors have to "Keep Up Your Appearances", lol

HeadExam reacted to Alan in Another Bolens for the collection
Yet another good one Joseph. Forgot to say that I spotted a familiar looking tire changing machine in one of your other video's. Nice to see it has been brought back to life.

I think our nation is going through the same type of upheaval, but the States being a younger country, our actions are more like toddlers and yours more like defiant teenagers. the days of statesmanship and compromise seem to be long gone for these days we have people on both sides that refuse to give in on anything. They act immature and stomp their feet, hold their breath until they get what they want. Our parents were supposed to teach us that we don't always get our way, those lessons are no longer meaningful.

HeadExam reacted to Fix'em all in Rebellion in the Works?
The last time the country was this divided was the English Civil War. It's all very painful & I will be glad when it's over & the news headlines start with something other than Brexit

HeadExam got a reaction from Fix'em all in Bit of Humour, I hope
I've watched most of her series including the one on the history of Britain and clocks, very, very funny. Comedy and humour is down the loo in America and Britain, because comics want to talk about Trump and Brexit, no one thinks these things are funny, at least not in the way the actors are doing it.

HeadExam reacted to Stormin in Rebellion in the Works?
I can't say on here what I think about the whole business. Only we voted to leave two years ago and that's what we should have done.

HeadExam reacted to Alan in Christmas workshop projects
This was AFTER the makeover Alain. You should have seen him before his visit to the beauty parlour.

Great video Joseph. The Westie come up very well; only another 50 or so garden tractors to clean ......
Just a bit concerned about the tramp who muscled in on the video. I guess you gave him a brown paper bag with a cheap bottle of whiskey to quench his thirst to make him go away?

HeadExam reacted to 4x4forks in Kubota engine rebuild and mower overhaul test
Not really the right time of year but i wanted to test the newly built engine under load so strapped on the newly welded finishing mower and dropped it in. Chopping brush in a neighbors field . Home made over head bar works well and somewhere to hang work lights . I wouldn,t call it a roll bar but it could only help.
