Hi all,
Picked up a plough today, it was all ceased up and a bit rusty albeit only surface rust..
Yep, a brinly plough I'm over the moon. After a few hours on it, lots of heat and a tub of copper grease later it ended up like this:
I'm very happy with how it has come up and how everything is so free now. Hopefully I'll be able to take it to a local ploughing match soon and give it a try.. Oh and to top it off I got a set of John deere rear wheel weights for my 110

Thanks for all the comments. I have got it running perfect and it now runs sweet as a nut. It even cuts quite well. It is now back in the workshop for a full service and it will be ready for action

I thought so too! Hopefully I can get it running better tomorrow and cut some grass with it

Thanks Paul, I love it. The artic steer is very cool but it takes some getting used too.
A Kubota tracked dumper
It is indeed, although the press is actually behind it!
Thanks, I haven't really seen any in the UK. I paid £175 for it.

Hi all,
Thought I'd post up a picture of my new purchase, picked it up today and ended up buying a power hack saw, pillar drill and some other bits as well! It runs but does need a carb overhaul and a good service.

The Cub made it to Rural past times and all went well. I was very pleased as I was a bit worried it wasn't going to be ready. The engine runs sweet as a nut and the transmission drives well however I did notice that the axles were leaking which is a common problem on these as the axle seals going and also the bronze bushes wear. £15 got me both seals and bushes from a local bearing supplier which was much cheaper than genuine.
Axle carriers off:
Lots of old oil and dirt:
All cleaned up and ready to go back together:
All finished:
Tested it and no leaks and the axles are perfect now with no play, it is a lot better. The only thing left to do now is change the drive belt as it is quite perished and has a few cracks. I have to admit this Cub is by far my favourite tractor

Great photos guys, me and my dad really enjoyed our weekend and it was great to meet old and new faces! Weather was lovely even though we did struggle to use any of our attachments. A massive thanks to Chris for organising it all and it was nice to see a good turn out. Definitely count me in for next year

Hi all,
Thought I'd share what I've been up to in regards to getting ready for my first show as an exhibitor. I am taking my Cub cadet and Wheel horse 312-8 with a set of discs, a cultivator and a plough. First on the agenda was to get the cultivator and discs to fit the Cub.
Made this hitch:
Which resulted in this:
Needs a bit of refinement and a coat of yellow and we will be away. Still awaiting some bits for the Cub but I'm hopeful it will work out fine Next on the list is to hook up the plough to the 312-8..

Got some of the collection out today, as you can tell I like variety
Enjoy

Very nice Chris, I'd love to see it in action, I bet it will chomp through anything in it's path.

You will have to pop round sometime Iain and have a go, the vari-drive system is very cool. You can also have a play with the lathe!
Tom
Thanks Andrew, I'm certainly pleased with it. I think that's it for me for a while now, I really must stop!!
Tom
I just can't stop, it's an addiction

Thanks Iain, it was a pleasant surprise to see it in the flesh as it did look a bit of a basket case in the pictures. Plan is to give it a wash and a service and use it as much as I can Maybe one day I'll restore it but not for now I'll leave it as it's pretty original.

Nice looking Bolens Iain! Glad you got it running and driving. Are you sure they haven't got anymore hiding away or have you cleared them out now?

Hi all,
Picked another one up today, it was advertised as spares and to my surprise when I arrive it was being towed out of the shed by a wheel horse!! He said it just needed a battery so I stuck one on when I got home and some fresh fuel and off she went and I drove it off of the trailer, always a bonus

Has mine come through yet?
