Joseph reacted to Triumph66 in Tractor fun for the Christmas break
Great line up of three fine tractors. I see Joseph is still hankering after the '62 RAM! A man of impeccable taste!

Joseph reacted to Triumph66 in Latest addition to the herd
Unusual fenders by the look of it. Look like a two gone job in either red/white or yellow/white depending on the model.
i attach a photo of the fenders being raised!

Joseph reacted to harryt in Latest addition to the herd
This is my most recent new toy, a gravely tractor with loader. I am very pleased with it as everything works and it is a strong tractor. Unfortunately the rear fender is missing and some has attacked the unit with red oxide. My plan is to restore it eventually and put some better tyres on the rear for traction. Here are a few pictures. Harry

Joseph reacted to Stormin in HVC Annual Ploughing Match. 13th March.
Heathergill Vintage Club are having their annual ploughing match on the 13th of March 2017. To be held again at Brisco, Carlisle.
Last year was the first time a horticultural class was run. Although only 5 entries it created a lot of interest. So this year lets see more horticultural entries.
I'm hoping the Scot's lads will be down again and bring some more with them. As we English, ie Jonathan and myself were out numbered last year, how about some of you English lads helping even things out.
I'll post entry details nearer the date.

Thanks Iain, the suspension arm did need the strengthening for peace of mind if nothing else.
Ahh, the next vid.... It's going to be entertaining for sure, a lot of extra camera work and editing..
Thanks Joseph for me, tell him to continue spreading the word
Thanks Richard, yeah the subs on MooTube are a laugh.. They can't get it quite right
Well the lower arms have had the treatment and are now a lot stronger too..

Joseph reacted to Cub Cadet in Tri rib tyre advice
http://www.unitytyreonline.co.uk/turf_small.html
I bought Duro HF257 tri ribs from here £15.60 each and mine came with tubes, i've used them on two tractors and highly recommend them.
This photo shows what they look like

Joseph reacted to slf-uk in Tri rib tyre advice
It looks like I may need to fit Tri-ribs to the front of one of my Bolens Ride-a-matic’s which has a standard tyre size of 4.00-8.
The easy options appear to be Trelleborg T513 from bigtyre https://www.bigtyres.co.uk/4-00-8-4-ply-trelleborg-t513.html or unnamed brand from Allterraintyres (although the pictures appears to show a Kenda tyre) http://www.allterraintyres.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1087_1242_1248&products_id=5034
I know I have asked a couple of you for advice previously however I am getting old and have forgotten what was said, sorry. Joseph is concerned that we have to buy the right tyres but I am unsure what he considers to be right or wrong.
I would really welcome some advice and if anyone has a picture of either or both of the options above that would be great. Some advice from our US based tyre expert would be cool too, as long as it is not to tell me I have spelt tyre incorrectly
Thanks
Iain

Joseph reacted to the showman in My First Wheelhorse
Found a couple of photos of the first Wheehorse i had ( and still got ) its a 1969 Commando 7 bought for £50 on the 17th of March 2003.
My Grandaughter ( Lauren) is now 22.

Joseph reacted to HeadExam in 1975 Wheel Horse D200
I only collect single cylinders, but I ended up winning the auction on this Wheel Horse D-200 twin cylinder at a very reasonable price. So now I see a Bolens HT20 in my future as well. Someone took two Brinly single gang discs and a Brinly three point sleeve hitch adapter and married them to make a nice double gang disc.

Joseph reacted to Triumph66 in Bolens 850
Last weekend I collected my 850 from Chris and at the same time dropped off his 600 and an engine I picked up for him a while back. Good to have a catch up with Chris too.

Joseph got a reaction from Triumph66 in 1960 Wheel Horse Suburban
I really like those older small Wheelhorses, looking forward to seeing further updates. I don't know much about these types of Wheelhorse because dad has a sheds full of Bolens.

Joseph reacted to Ian in Honda MadTrax V Twin Quad.. Nearly Finished.. Woo Hoo
Evening all..
A bit of trimming, re-shaping and carefully grinding back the welds later and the tank fits again.
One of those little milestones, the first squirt of paint on this project..
An even bigger milestone.. With the frame work finally done it was treated to a couple of coats of the red oxide stuff. The poor light in the workshop made it look like a very dark thin coat!
But the biggest milestone yesterday was getting the frame in it's top coat, a very classy shade of satin black
All I have left to do now is everything else, which is quite a bit

Joseph got a reaction from HeadExam in Wheelhorse Southern Round-Up
We can't make RPT next year but Biddington would be good. If we can get it sorted in time we may be able to bring a D160 and/or D200. A few Bolens too of cause
