For anyone who's interested ,today I managed to purchase an almost identical van on a 61 plate. The one big plus is this one has aircon, which my smashed one was sadly missing. Just got to collect it next weekend and then fit the rear seats over Christmas. This newer one is even tidier so will hopefully be around for a long time to come. Just got to watch out for low flying Passats! Lol

This is my most recent new toy, a gravely tractor with loader. I am very pleased with it as everything works and it is a strong tractor. Unfortunately the rear fender is missing and some has attacked the unit with red oxide. My plan is to restore it eventually and put some better tyres on the rear for traction. Here are a few pictures. Harry

This is my Maruzen drilling machine. It's fully restored, all correctly,  carburetor overhaul kit, new gear grease etc.
After that it ran and I put it on the shelf. I like to look at it but that's all I do. My interest does lies more with antique and modern firearms. This was an excess for me.
Now I decided that if someone would offer an far better place for this machine it's better it goes there.

Very rare, try to find one with google! (if you do find more, let me know!)
There were 200 imported to Europe in '85 or '86.

As said, it ran, it does not on this moment. It runs when I put a little gas in the spark plug hole. Ignition is fine.
But it does not get petrol on it's own. I think the carburetor needs cleaning.

Good morning all I haven't posted much in the last couple of months been busy with my now young family and work so time is at a premium , for the last five years I've had my workshop in an old tram shed in Sheffield as this has served me well  and my friends who restore busses it's time for us to leave due to our land lord wanting to expand his business in to our building which this has gave us a final push to go due to the roof  been in such a bad state ( it leaks )   So we have been on the look out for a new building in view to buy so we have found our new home which is clean and dry and secure , since me Nathan and Sam started packing things away it's amazing what we have found things we thought was long gone .
Any way I've being buying pallet racking to utilise space so we can have things in the air here is a few pics so far more to come

The original Goodyears on the rear and the the lowest priced Carlisle replacements on the front said good bye today in favor of Kenda K500 Super Turfs. I bought the 24 x 9.50-12's instead of the 23 x 10.50-12's because I like the taller tire and the rim size only accounts of a 1/2 wider tire in the the 10.50 width, with a substantially better price, 150.00 delivered on the rears and 62.00 delivered on the front tires 16 x 6.50-8's. I took a comparison with the Bolens H16 rear tires and I think it is very hard to tell the difference in width. However, if I would not have been able to get the taller tires I might have been more hesitant about the 9.50's unless they were a lot less

This is not your usual type of machine that you would find in the barn , it's my 1955 Bren Gun ,deactivated of coarse . Also I have some inert pineapple hand grenades .
I used to use the Bren gun 303 machine gun on a regular basis when serving in the Army along with the SLR rifle  the Bren is an awesome weapon and very powerful and accurate . This particular one was used by Paratroopers in the Suez conflict as it has the short barrel .

Loading up three machines for the Ransomes display at Tractor World, 137 decided not to slow down whilst I was reversing on the trailer, I was perched on the seat but managed to hit the decompressor lever and stop the engine before I went a over t. The old sphincters were twitching  a bit. We call them our toys but should never forget that things can go badly wrong. All safely loaded now and nearly ready to go.

I had a similar thing happen, i use to let the tractors idle and drive themselves in and out of the van until i was at a show unloading the rowcrop. It decided to kick the ramp out and being a trike fell on its side still running. It scratched all the bonnet and bent the exhaust and footrest.
after the show i was loading back up and exactly the same thing happened lucky i was standing the right side on both occasions.
ive loaded and unloaded dozens of times and never had a problem till then. Thats when I bought new ramps and a power in and out winch

nothing like good ramps and a wench. lol I used to ride them up, but with an implement and my 200 lbs, that's nearly half a tonne. most ramps aren't rated for that much weight. I walk along them while they SLOWLY inch up. Hydrostatic drives make it easiet.

Nothing moves in or out of my van now without a winch cable attached, might not be so lucky next time.
its embarrassing too, there's always people watching at shows

The first picture is what I started with. I bought a International Cub tractor muffler (IH-1, part # 351436R92) for 29.00 and fabricated my own mounts, I added a 1/4" hard rubber between washers to create a dampening effect to reduce vibration. I'll order a chrome slotted heat shield for it next week that will cover the body.

Pulled up the floor in the downstairs loo today. Needed some help.... Finn to the rescue, any excuse to hook up a trailer. He's really good at reversing it too.
