  1. I did try training the gauge to face the driver, but it would seem it likes having it's photo taken and turned around for the camera

    Suburban night

That looks like my sort of party A great way to spend the evening
  3. I was looking for somewhere to put one of the 6x6 fenders today..... The "Long rider" look.. From the back you can almost see rubber tracks from front to back warpped around the wheels
  4. At first glance the big photo of the Webb looked like a hoover!! I did a double take NIce finds Paul, your going to need a bigger shed to store all your machines in
  5. Evening all, all had been well with the 6x6 for a lomg time mostly as it's not been used that much and nothing has gone wrong with it..... Until a couple of days ago when it decided to sheer off one of the drive sprockets again! With a bit of luck and pushing from Pete (well, he was driving it when it broke ) we managed to get it back in the garden late in the afternoon.. The next day I had the fun bit of trying to get it back in the shack while it was in 4 wheel drive mode, which as with every other time never works as it turns as soon as it's on the ramps! So out came a ratchet strap to make it a 6x6 again if only for a short while.. It almost made it into the shack before throwing the ratchet strap off, but 4 1/2 wheels in was enough Lot's of jacking each end up and pushing it about soon had the 6x6 slotted in it's repair and modifacation spot. The plan is to lower the middle axle by an inch or two to give a pivot point which will allow the 6x6 to turn easier and hopefully take some of the strain out the system and stop the blasted drive sprockets from sheering off the axles! Strip down has started, lots of panels and the drive chains/sprockets off.. Well, all apart from this drive sprocket.. Being one of those taperlock set-up what you should do is is take out the 2 grub screws and wind one back in a different hole to push the taperlock bush out.. Guess who wasn't paying attention and wound a grub screw back in the wrong hole so tight that it busted!! It's the grub screw on the left.. Only one option, attack it with the grinder! Is this called 5x6 mode? I might even paint the inside of this wheel while it's off Lot's of faffing about with a grinder and a hacksaw upside down and the inner axle mount was off! So my question is guy's... Do you think lowering the middle axles by an inch will be enough or shouls I push the boat out and go a whole 2 inches?
  6. Hot from the press, or should that be YouTube, here's Episode 2 of "Will it Chop?"
  7. You had best empty some of the junk to make some space then
  8. Looks like you have all had a great time up north Guy's and girls, thanks for posting the photos Any chance you could bring me back the Caterpillar R2 from the Yorkshire Farm Museum please?
  9. It would Chris. Mopar I wondered when someone would logically mention Garry's trike.... Yes the engine is staying in the trike, I am wondering if the 5 bolt wolfrace slots will fit a WH though Well guessed James...... Think I might have to stretch the chassis a tad to fit this engine in though Not that this will help you much if at all, but here's the latest and last Project Zero-ish turn video.. Enjoy.
  10. The hood is the normal height Norm, something else is lower. How big an engine James? Well spotted Richard, I will have to measure and see if the deck will still fit. I know which two gents you have been talking to to come up with that answer Paul I like your thinking Koen, but no Now your just getting silly Nigel... Please carry on You got me there Paul, I'm fitting a Honda cbX 6 pot engine..... Ok, maybe not but it could be fun
  11. Glad you can make use of the fender parts Mark, it's nice to get them out the shack It was good catching up with you again Monday, I must remember no cabbage next time And thanks for the big bottle of rum, my arm is still aching from picking it up
  12. That's a nice find Paul, you never know what can be found lurking in hedges
  13. Maybe, or maybe not There is a rather big clue in one of the photos Would I do that Mark?

    Seal question.

The hydro seals are the same size (Eaton 1100 trans), just a lot stronger to keep 700psi in
  15. Screeeeeeeech!!!! No that's not the sound of a car crash outside my house, but the sound of Project zero-ish turn screeching to a halt!!!! Yes you did read that right Do to a mixture of luck and being in the right place at the right time sort of thing this project is about to take a rather large change in direction! At the moment I can't tell you any more than that (Well I could but where would be the fun in that ) So, I will just leave you a couple of photo's for now
